'PRODUCED BY OR UNDER LICENSE FROM SEGA ENTERPRISES, LIMITED'. Would removing this screen simply be a matter of fiddling with some pins and solder points - like the import modification - or require a hardware flash/transplant, like the old Multibios Mega-CD mod?

I know the vast majority of Model 1s don't have this - or the TMSS system - but I'm happy with the import-modded Model 2 I have right now.

The TMSS BIOS can be bypassed completely through software. Most all Taiwanese game developers use this method.

I recall I read the currently down Modding Mayhem offered this kind of mod, but it wouldn't work if you had a 32X attached for some reason.

From what I've heard you can't use your 32X anymore (and maybe MCD) if youre going for a HW way which details I don't know about.

Heres a guide to doing it:

But as others have said the mod will also stop you booting any game from your 32x or MegaCD. So its probably worth just putting up with the brief two seconds the copyright screen appears for.

I did that mod on my MD2 and it is GREAT !!! And with 5 wires and a 2 section switch, its reversible (I don't have 32X or MCD yet so no switch in my MD2 yet). Now I can immediately see that my program won't work not wait 5 seconds staring a stupid screen first.

It's a shame that the add-ons are disabled along with the copyright screen; I used far too much wire adding two switches in the first place, so sticking another one in there simply for an extra three seconds of GAME TIME isn't really worth it. I'm impressed that someone figured out the process, though.

Its actually VERY simple thing, even I would have figured it out if I had hated the screen enough.
