Oh how i hate it when i don't throw things away like i should have..
Ok, it appears i never did throw away the BAD xbox power cord when i got the recalled one, and i seem to have put the cord into use, but i don't know which one!
What does the recalled cord look like?
I know the replacement has the sticker on it, which IS on my xbox right now..
EDIT: Nevermind, my xbox wasn't affected anyway, as it wasn't a cord issue, but a PSU issue.

The recalled cord is HUGE and usually fails after a short amount of time, becoming useless. I hate the recalled cord.

My xboxs replacement cord from MS was the same exact cord I already had, thus my xbox wasn't truly recalled as I had a Delta PSU inside.

At least the warranty is up to 3 years now

I doubt ANY Xbox is still under warranty.

The replacement cord had a bulky circuit breaker on the wall-plug end, it was to prevent too much current draw which would result from an intermittent connection (caused by a cold solder joint on the power connector inside the xbox where the cord connects). Only certain batches of consoles were affected... I knew my console WASN'T, but I requested a replacement cord anyway just for shits and giggles when they were offering it; they sent me a replacement cord which was exactly the same as the old one.
So unless you got a replacement cord which had the bulky circuit breaker on it, chances are they determined (by your console serial number which you had to provide) you didn't need it, therefore don't stress over which cord you use.
Or open the beast and just check the solder connection :P

Yea, my replacement was exactly the same as the original, minus the new sticker on it...
I now use the recalled adapter on a 5" portable TV for 3 years. No fires here...
