I'm honestly more interested in the CGE than E3, strange as that sounds. I would so like to go this year, but sadly can't make it. Anyone going?
I wish there was more expo's for this sorta thing in florida. I'm stuck all the way on the botton... at least its not cold.
I wish they would have made sega neptune systems (drool).

I'm waiting for one here in the Caribbean. Some friends and I were thinking about doing a tournament/swap meet, to see how many people show up. Start slow, I guess.

I'm in Florida too, there's not much going on in electronics down here.

Why are you after CES more than E3, Melf? What's it got that E3 don't got? :P

Double. Not exactly the best way to start off a new forum life. :D

I sent in the money for admittance, but I never got an email back like they said they would. :?

CGE is more personal, and friendly, as opposed to the corporate gang-bang that is E3. There's no overwhelming sense of competition, no one's striving for market share or a bigger user base. It's more about the games themselves and how we got here.
I'm also more into classic games than new ones, so the CGE has more appeal to me.

Sounds good to me. I've never been to either, personally, so I wouldn't really know. >.>
From what I've seen in the media, though, I don't really care for the feel of E3.
My real interest is in the venders that'll be there, with all their neat retro stuff and homebrews. The swap meet they usually have is a great place to find stuff on the cheap side, and to make some new friends.

Stop talking! You're making me want to go!
Classic Gaming Expo (http://www.cgexpo.com/index.htm) have updated their site with this year's list of guest speakers. Lots of interesting people will be there, but I would most like to hear from Steve Woita. I'm still trying to get in touch with him!
