View Full Version : Ecco the Dolphin
How many appearances has Sega's star Dolphin made already? It seems like he's been everywhere since his Genesis debut, and the world needs another game (are you listening, Sega?). We have a review (http://www.sega-16.com/Ecco%20the%20Dolphin%20review.htm) for you of the game where it all began, so come on in; the water's fine.

I prefer the Sega CD version, only for the music.

I prefer the Sega CD Ver as well. I have the Sega CD ver, as well as Ecco' Dreamcast game. I was tempted to buy it for the ps2 but there isnt much added so i dont feel its worth it.

I remember when this game came out. I passed over it thinking that it was a child's game. Then I heard everyone raving about the animation and decided to give it a try. I became hooked. I never thought that playing as a dolphin, solving puzzles and completing a quest without blowing things up could be so engrossing.
Great review for a great game.

This one freaked me out when I was little, and I still think it's just a tad wierd.

I always loved the Genesis version better for the music, even if the CD music is "Higher Quality" I always loved the Genny beats much more. I can't recall most of the CD songs either...
The review is good. I never got to play a lot of ecco since they let me borrow the game. It is a good game that you can't go wrong with.

Next to games like Sonic and Vectorman, Ecco is one of the first games I think of when it comes to Genises. I have both the Sega CD and Genises versions, and I love them both. The music is amazing, the story is deep and mysterious, and the levels are epic.:D

I also had this game when it came out, it had very nice graphics for the time with some nice animation in the dolphins. The thing that got me with this though, was the difficulty. You really have to sit down and concentrate with this one. Not that that's a bad thing of course!
