Wow. For almost $30 USD, you must be a loaded cat.
I got my 32x + cables and a few games for $20.

Oh, I thought I got a really good deal. I saw a post in another thread about the conversion cable being reeeeeeeeally rare. :p

Well, to be fair, 32X stuff is ridiculously priced on your side of the pond. Over here, you can't give the things away.

I know that! I'm green with envy when I search for 32x stuff on US ebay

Wholly shit man! almost £17!!
One of my boxed complete 32Xs with those cables only cost me £1 more than that!!
32X stuff is expensive over here, but that is insane!

eBay last May after my original 32X died, it's only in the past 6 months or so that prices have gotten this bloody stupid.

So, I paid a lot, but was it worth it, over here anyway? :p
Sorry puss, the answer is probably not. I'd say £7-£8 is probably the going rate for those cables. On the other hand, they are pretty hard to come by on their own - and since a 32X is useless without them, it's not wasted money for sure.
I think that there are a few sellers on eBay UK who make good copies of these cables and sell them for a reasonable price (I think the seller chaoticjelly does them).
Don't worry too much about it. If you're in this hobby, then you will inevitably pay a bit over the odds for something you need/want sooner or later.

I dont' know what to be more apalled at, the price of the cable or the fact you abviously were not the only person willing to bid that much for it!

I just bought one of those cables Genesis 1 to 2 cables off a guy for $6 shipped.
Then again, you can't give a 32x away over here.
