And behind closed eyes I cannot make them go away
'Cause you were born on the fourth of july, freedom ring
Now something on the surface it stings
I said something on the surface
Well it kind of makes me nervous
Who says that you deserve this
And what kind of god would serve this?
We will cure this dirty old disease
If you've got the poison I've got the remedy
The remedy is the experience.
This is a dangerous liaison
I say the comedy is that it's serious.
This is a strange enough new play on words
I say the tragedy is how you're gonna spend
The rest of your nights with the light on
So shine the light on all of your friends
When it all amounts to nothing in the end.
I won't worry my life away.
I won't worry my life away.
I heard two men talking on the radio
In a cross fire kind of reality show
Uncovering the ways to plan the next big attack
They were counting down the ways to stab
The brother in the be right back after this
The unavoidable kiss, where the minty fresh
Death breath is sure to outlast this catastrophy
Dance with me, because if you've got the poison,
I've got the remedy
The remedy is the experience.
This is a dangerous liaison
I say the comedy is that it's serious.
This is a strange enough new play on words
I say the tragedy is how you're gonna spend

I won't worry my life away.
When I fall in love I take my time
There's no need to hurry when I'm making up my mind
You can turn off the sun but I'm still gonna shine and I'll tell you why
Because
The remedy is the experience.
This is a dangerous liaison
I say the comedy is that it's serious.

George failed his exam and quit being a doctor. Burke stopped the wedding and left the show. Callie got the Cheif job, which just didn't make sense. Merideth isn't looking for love, she just likes the competition of finding someone, but gets bored quickly.
I'm actually not excited for a 4th season like I was last year for the third season. I'm kinda disappointed.
Rusty Venture

There is no greater season finale than the one for Venture Brothers Season 2.
That should be a textbook case of how you end a season in the most awesome fashion ever. It kills me that I will have to wait until next year to watch season 3.

Rusty Venture

I heard the same for "Spider-man 3".
It is a series that can say "Yeah the sequel was better than the first movie" but it can't claim the same for the third movie.
Just like the "Alien" franchise!

VinnyT
05-22-2007, 12:47 PM
Kinda. Just going so far away from what the original was.
I mean, I LOVED the original Shrek. You had a good mix of humor along with fairy tale setting, and even if the pop-culture dates the film, the good outweighs the bad in a big way.
Then Shrek 2 came along and it felt a little forced, although I still enjoyed it.
Shrek 3 thought just didn't do it for me. You had the Snow White part and the frogs singing Live and Let Die, which felt out of place. It's too bad we've got THREE MORE of these things coming out.

I met him out for dinner on a Friday night
He really got me workin' up an appetite
He had tattoos up and down his arm
There's nothin' more dangerous than a boy with charm
He's a one-stop shop, makes the panties drop
He's a sweet-talkin', sugar-coated candyman
A sweet-chocolate, sugar-coated candyman
He took me to the Spider Club at Hollywood and Vine
We drank champagne and we danced all night
We shook the paparazzi for a big surprise
The gossip tonight will be tomorrow's headline
He's a one stop-shop, makes my cherry pop
He's a sweet-chocolate, sugar-coated candyman
A sweet-chocolate, sugar-coated candyman

Then things got wierder, and everything was 'ooh look how insightful our comic is ooooh let's vaguely reference wise old masters and spiritualism':
http://img517.imageshack.us/img517/3198/tailswtfuy0.th.jpg (http://img517.imageshack.us/my.php?image=tailswtfuy0.jpg)
Then there were the sponsors, and the occasional PSA. Why are there ads every three sentences??
http://img102.imageshack.us/img102/3847/hahahaqc2.th.jpg (http://img102.imageshack.us/my.php?image=hahahaqc2.jpg)
Then the staff were apparently all replaced with furries, in time to complete a nice run of furry guilt-trip issues about EVIL HUMANS wanting to KILL NATURE and MAKE WAR NOT LOVE. Then came Teen Drama. Teen Drama: love triangles, Wise Old Parents, Let's Turn Knuckles Green And Then Kill Him Off BUT NOT REALLY AHAHAHAHA, and uh, Sonic cries a little. We've all been there, no harm in a hedgehog with quills to his feet and eyes larger than his body crying a little is there? ;,,,(
I keep thinking, someone must be buying these comics. Is it printed on cheap, soft, easily-foldable paper or something?

So it seems that some Sega executive (president of Sega of America) (http://www.businessweek.com/innovate/content/aug2007/id20070813_964132.htm) dared to express the opinion that Sonic games are primarily aimed at the 12-and-under market.
Now, apparently one 'community member' found this opinion personally offensive enough to email this guy and demand an explanation. The response? Assuming it comes from the guy anyway, not some overworked secretary or whomever:
In no way did I mean that Sonic isnt cool for the over 12s. I am an over 40 and I still love Sonic. Press interviews often result in misleading quotes as is the case here. What I was trying to convey was that SEGA needs to build better quality Sonic games, that appeal to everyone not just the under 12s. It is a fault of some of the recent games, not of Sonic, that the current situation exists and that is something that we are working hard to change. We believe Sonic is one of the coolest characters in videogame history and we are striving to make the games themselves better.
Ugggggh. Fuck shut-in manchildren Sonic fans claiming sacreligious abuse of their beloved gamer childhoods, and fuck this guy for backpedalling so hard.
