For the record, Sheath, I love sushi. And not the rolls, either. Just raw fish on rice patties.
This makes me smile, and want rice balls. But not as much as raw tuna, seaweed, cucumber and avacado and seasonded rice, with a smidge of self made wasabe.

It's amazing how good raw fish can be, if it's prepared properly. Tuna is pretty fantastic, but I'm also a fan of yellowtail. My brother-in-law is something of a sushi connesour (however you spell it, psh...), and last time we went he thought to ask the waiter what kind of meats they had that wasn't on the menu. The guy brought out yellowtail belly, which had nice little veins of fat going through it. It was pretty tasty.

I don't think I've had anything like that. We've tried making sushi with tuna, salmon and artificial crab here at home, I pretty much only like the tuna.

Happy to cause a smile. I do wonder though how rhetorical questions got such a bad reputation for being meaningless. The rhetorical schools were all about completely describing everything, so I would assume a question was a setup to a very long discussion on something.

So let me get this straight, the original story was about this boy who lives in Monsterland (located in Monsterworld)
and he saves the world from the Meka dragon, then it turns out the Meka dragon is actually a "Mecha" Dragon send from space,
so the boy (named Shion) then goes on another quest and eventually battles an evil alien who's trying to.. conquer earth or something.
so he beats the alien and is heralded as a hero, but then one day the hero disappears from his house and is never seen again. (possibly kidnapped by aliens)
then a while later this Arabian chick called Arsha hears someone calling for help and goes on a quest and eventually defeats the same alien
in an epic underground battle, thus saving the world. (but not Shion strangely enough)
so then this script writer is like "i'm gonna make a movie about that" and it becomes..
A forever young teenager and an immortal warlord quest for The Salamander Cross;
the one thing that will allow one to destroy the other for good.
That's like me making Mortal Kombat the movie and having it be about milk men.

Today started out awesome. In the interest of saving money, I had deleted all my "saved searches" from my ebay account, so that I wouldn't get notifications of new listings each day. The idea was that I would save money because I wouldn't see the things that I wanted to spend money on.
Well, I cheated a little. I added a couple searches that were REALLY pressing, just in case a deal came up that I couldn't afford to miss.
And what do you know? One came up today. One of the rarest games on the GameBoy came up as part of a 9-game CIB bundle. I don't think the seller really knew what he had, otherwise he would have broken the bundle up and sold everything separately. So I bought the bundle for a price less than the current [perceived] value of the target game. Considering that I own only half of the remaining games, and I'll be able to sell off the remaining half to recoup some of the cost, it ended up being exactly the situation I was anticipating: something I couldn't afford to pass up.
Then I stepped outside to go to work, and the day went to shit. My truck was repo'd during the night. It seems that when the ex-wife filed bankruptcy a while back, my truck loan was packaged in with all the rest of her crap, since she was a cosigner. Because of this, they haven't been sending me bills or calling me to collect the monthly payments. So now I have to scramble to get together three months of payments, as well as a $400 repo fee. Then I have to go get my truck out of impound, and pay their fees.
Can't even work today. What a nightmare.
NeoVamp

Could be worse, you could have caught a nasty flu virus that during the course of 2 months made it so that every joint in your body stiffened up,
eventually crippling you to a point where you couldn't stand up or walk anymore, and ultimately leading to a temperature of 39.4'c
which eventually got you picked up by an ambulance and admitted to the hospital where they hooked you up to an IV for several days.
only to eventually recover and talk to your doctor who says "even after beating a virus like this it can take up to a year before the fatigue goes away"
All because you spend an entire year talking to that special person from your past but ultimately failing to reconcile,
but still losing so much energy from that year that the virus could easily strike when you're at your weakest.
It's a good thing I'm Europe based (and thus have nice insurance) or the admittance to the hospital would have cost me a pretty penny.

Does it say anything if you click on the shipping and payments tab next to the description? As far as I know it always will say free if it is.

Okay, I'll try to make it better. Here's everything that came in the lot, and you can decide for yourself whether you really missed out. Everything CIB.
Stop That Roach! (again, one of the rarest games on the system. I had the last CIB auction saved for a while, and I think it actually got up to $200 or there-abouts).
Catrap
Tesserae
Legend of the River King
Alleyway
Hyper Lode Runner
Casper
Kwirk
Lock n Chase
All for the low low price of...
$220
I feel better now. I was thinking you robbed some woman who found her kids gameboy games in a closet and (secretly) hocked them on ebay. I love those kinds of deals. :D

I've heard that Joey (the sitcom) was a load of crap. AFAIK they never aired it on Latin America, so I've yet to experience how bad it is.
And on the topic of lousy sitcoms, a few days ago for some reason I watched four episodes of Hot in Cleveland. In a row (albeit with a one hour break between the last two because TBS were airing something else in between -Web Therapy, coincidentally tying it into this post). I seriously don't know why, and I think that it's now turning into some sort of guilty pleasure.
Also the fact that I'm starting to think that Jane Leeves is pretty hot isn't helping at all. Hell, maybe that's why I watched it!

The story and lore within the world is awesome, but most importantly the fighting mechanic is second only to Golden Axe Beast Rider. The shield and sword interaction, along with the side step and roll mechanic makes the player entirely responsible for how the fights go. The first few levels seem sort of generic to me as well, but once the main story starts I think you'll be hooked. There are a ton of character upgrades and magic improvements along the way that you might be interested in as well. The boss fights don't exactly escalate, they're more dependent on the mission you are on, sometimes they are hard sometimes they are almost comically easy, but the final boss dragon fight is the best dragon fight I have ever played in a video game. On the Dreamcast the only thing better is the Zoddo the Immortal fight in Berserk.

Eddie, you are too honest to a fault. The problem is you reveal too much about yourself and you dont know when to hold back. You seem like a pretty smart guy so I predict a bright future for you. Good luck.

And what will you say about it tomorrow? "I can't go back to Sega-16 because they pick on me there."
Excuses, Eddie. It's the same as lying, only in this case you're lying to yourself.

What can I say? The world is full of cry babies.
I really have no sympathy for nonsense. I grew up in a totalitarian regime. From age 10 to 14, I would go hungry for weeks at a time, having to hunt doves and other wild game on my own just to acquire some protein for myself and my younger brother. I'd rummage through fallen airplane tires to make for a sling shot, and would use old batteries for scrap as their lead would suffice for pellets. I'd carry the lead pieces I had hammered into pellets in my mouth in the hunt at 6:30am, because I couldn't even afford pockets. I later had to travel with my father through five other different third world countries for four months to escape this, evading military guerillas through mountains at gun point; only to be handcuffed at age 14 to my own father and put in jail for four days for the crime of being an immigrant in the United States. I was the tallest kid in my classroom at age 14 and, yet, a mere 85 pounds from the starvation I suffered. My father had to go back twenty years in his medical profession and re-study everything to re-validate his Medical License while working two jobs to bring-over the rest of my family (my brother, mother and two sisters). For years, I walked miles to school and back, because I couldn't even afford the bus fare. I've had to work two-to-three jobs at a time just to get myself through High School, my A.A. Degree, a Bachelors, a Masters Degree and now a Doctorate.
Sorry, but imaginary hernias haven't yet been written-off as cause for laziness in my physical medicine compendium. Some of it does belong in my psychiatry books, though. :?

I just had to put it out there for anyone who thinks mongering on welfare to purchase video games and frozen Pizzas is healthy living (mentally, physically, or otherwise). :?
But yeah, we've done alright for ourselves; and not without hard work and dedication.
[EDIT] P.S.> Even though you were just kidding, don't ever confuse a "man who is poor" for a "poor man"; two completely different individuals they are. If the former values his studies, works hard and makes something of himself; it's only the latter for whom you'd have to feel sorry.
