That's pretty dumb, I've never had a job that didn't interfere with my personal life lol!! It limits it tremendously...they interview those "occupiers" on the radio all the time and I remember one was a director for some indie movie studio and was only making like $20,000 a year and had a bachelors, he was 22 and said he should be making 3 times that.

I don't know where to begin, I don't make supremo money but I'm doing well and I've worked my ass off since I was 16 and I don't make 6 figures yet, worked full time thru college...got a degree...still don't make 6 figs, but somehow I don't feel I have enough experience yet to be making that kind of money.

Oh well...I'm just blind and the man has brainwashed me...

Well son, and these days I AM old enough to be your father, you just haven't seen the world the way I have. Why, when I was your age I hadn't even gone back to college for the second time thinking I'd make something of myself. Hell, I was still putting my wife through college for the first time, and she just now finished her second. Then, on top of that, we were driving three hours away to learn how to fight from a retired Navy Seal every two weeks and she was driving an hour away two to three days a week to finish her schooling.

The end result? A bunch of student loans and some degrees, and about as much pay increase as we would have had with regular raises if such a thing exists today. I do think this makes us idiots, but the doors will supposedly start opening and since we now live in a matriarchal society we are on the right track. ;)

I'm glad I managed to get through school and was lucky enough to do it with grants. Sadly it has done very little for me. What I am doing now anyone can do with a bit of inspiration. While I hesitate to call the whole college system a shame it has become big business and it makes me sick. They would like you to think no one can do anything or has ever done anything without a degree.

That's exactly what degrees do. I don't fix computers with anything I learned getting my associates or A+ certification, but people like to see that I have those things. My history degree is something else, people know right away that I'm educated by the way I talk and write and they tend to automatically shun me for it while claiming they just aren't as "smart". Combine that with the fact that most people are duped by talk radio psuedo-political history and don't want to hear any details and I have an irrelevant and useless degree. Unless I just wanted to use the fact that I have a bachelor's to ascended the greasy poll .. er .. corporate ladder, it's just four years of "character building" experience. It's neat to not need to look at polls to figure out which candidates are going to get elected (it's always the prettiest one), or when the stock market is going to crash, but I haven't figured out how that knowledge equates to power or money. I definitely wouldn't discourage people from going to college though, but I would encourage some people to go to trade school instead.

There's a GameBoy game I want called Trip World. I haven't seen a lot of gameplay footage, but it appears to be Sunsoft's answer to Kirby.

The thing is, it was never released in the States. I saw a European cart come up on ebay recently with a $99.00 BIN. If I hadn't already spent hundreds of dollars already across many other purchases, I may have actually considered buying it. As it was, someone more decisive than myself picked it up.

So I was searching for the game again tonight to see if it were available for sale outside of Ebay, and I discovered something peculiar: it was actually released last week as a download on Europe's 3DS Virtual Console service. What did the US get? Kirby's Block Ball.

Yeah, I think they cut out segments from the levels. It most of taken me about 4 hrs to complete. Some of the other modes, like that Zombie one were nigh on impossible for me.

I've only played the demo of Lost Planet and it's quite decent. I heard that the second one's kinda crappy, though. I'm kinda interested on that one because you can play as Frank West if you have a savefile from the original Dead Rising (or, on the PS3 version, a savefile from Lost Planet 1)

LP2 is cooperative based with useless AI. Your 3 teammates don't begin as terribly useful and their use wanes as the game's difficulty increases (it'll be tough by lv 3 on Normal). It can be played local co-op but be warned the missions are long, players share a lifestock (battle points divided by 500s; these can be built up, allotted to eqp &c, and saved), and each mission is divided into chapters between which there are no saves. So yes it's very hard especially on 1P. It looks excellent and the controls/setup can be tailored in many ways. It's also highly attritive, I could do with combat being ended more dramatically. Worth a shot nonetheless.

Eh, the multiplayer focus really shot my interest out the window. I really enjoyed LP's multiplayer, but that was kept completely separate from the main campaign.

They'd better not ruin this third game with forced multiplayer.

Ha, I never noticed that in regards to Zoidberg. My favorite spoof of the medical field is from an old 80's movie "Paramedics". There's a scene where they go through the waiting room and there are people in it dieing from illness and bleeding to death while the receptionist completely ignores them and files her nails.
