Well im in San Diego for spring break. I managed to score a copy of the japanese version of Parrapa complete for $5 :). Does anyone around these parts have any good recommendations of where to find games around here. I know Luna is here. So far I have had very little luck in any of the thrift stores here.

Welcome to my hometown! :D

You can always try the swap meet, but to be honest, I can't remember the last time I found something decent there.

Luna Video Games has two locations now, one near SDSU and one in Ocean Beach. Both have a great selection, but don't expect swap meet/pawn shop prices.

There's also a guy who calls himself "Nintendo Dan", who sells things out of his apartment. He has a great selection of all games and systems. Here's his number: 619-729-5072. Decent if you don't mind the creepiness of going to someone's apartment to buy games ;)

That's simultaneously one of the best and worst things I've heard all day

Yeah I saw his ad on Craigslist. He is in Emperial Beach which is where I am so I think I will be giving him a call.

I should give Dan a call. Does he ship?

Emperial? You must be in the wrong San Diego! Ha! Ha! Man I wish I had known about Luna Games before I moved to the east coast! Hmmm I think I might give creepy Dan a call if he's got interesting stuff and if he ships.

I just didn't understand the wrong san Diego part. Alot of people don't like it here.

I remember it being IMPERIAL Beach, maybe that's it.

I dunno. I've been to San Diego. Unfortunately I was about 12 so my attention was towards David Arquette winning the WCW World title instead of fully exploring the city. All I really saw was the ocean, a blue gyro shop, a house that my uncle was SURE Ken Shamrock lived in, and an empty movie theater where I saw Ready To Rumble.

Does San Diego have a guy called 'Sega Sam'?

I imagine Nintendo Dan to look something like this:

Doh! My little brain fails once again. Well my knowledge of it's vs its did not help me this time. :)

Emperial should be Imperial. The other San Diego I know of in the U.S. is in Texas, that's why I wrote that. :sonic:

Yeah I got it. Vinny already pointed that out for me. I pretty tired when I wrote it.

Well, if you're willing to make the 2.5 hour drive one way, there is Game Dude in North Hollywood. They have an excellent selection!

I'm going to hit the swapmeet tommorow. Hopefully I'll find something.
