I know that some people are probably thinking "don't bother with the spacers, stupid cat!" but I would like them connected. Yeah, my Mega Drive 32X finally arrived, but I'm having trouble connecting said spacers to my Model 1 Mega Drive. I can get the long one in on either side, but getting the short one in afterwards is a problem. The instructions seem to contradict themselves. Help, please? Thanks!

Spacers? You mean the black plastic piece? You CAN'T use that on a model 1.
Perhaps you mean the metal RF shield? Seriously, don't bother.

Sorry, yeah, I meant the metal electromagnetic shield thingies. Well, I finally managed to get them in, and now my 32X is up and running, though with a pretty fuzzy TV picture. This could be because I am finally noticing the apparent bad quality of RF, the RF unit is dodgy, all my cable spaghetti is messing up some connections or because something is wrong with the 32X itself. I have tuned it in to the best I could get it. Anyway, thanks! :)

Why would you bother with those anyway? They don't do ANYTHING but make the 32x compliant with interference laws.

Because I'm a good kitty that obeys the instructions. http://forums.miniclip.com/images/smilies/angel.gif :lawl:
Plus I read on some website that it improves the reception a bit, though that appears to not have worked for me. >_>
No Japanese system has such stuff

What? The Japanese version of the 32X doesn't come with metal shield thingies? Interesting. :p
yes, no metal shield thingies, and no metal shields in MDs themselves

If you want a better picture, at the very least ditch the RF and use an A/V cable.

Yeah, that will actually do something.
