People have made these for the Master System, why don't they make a 32X one now? Maybe Messiah or GoodDeal Games could put it on the market. Just make it a lock-on cart like Sonic & Knuckles. This would make it compatible with all of the Genesis systems except for model 3!

Sounds...interesting.

The way the 32x works absolutely requires the video to be patched.

The lock on technology behind S&K isn't that complex.
it's just allocating DATA into new places between the ROMs.
The games were also tailored with that in mind. . .
since they are essentially 2 parts of one game with a feature to run independantly or together.

Why is that? :?:

I'm not an expert on 32x hardware foibles, but I'd speculate that it's because the 32x has an improved video output compared to a stock Genesis.

The 32X ran on top of the Mega Drive graphics-wise, that's why there needs to be a cable looping from the console's AV-Out to the 32X.
The 32X interprets this data, puts its OWN graphics on top of the Mega Drive's signal, then sends it out the 32X's AV-Out.
As such, a simple Lock-On cart is impossible.
