Yes this is old, but... what do you think of the movie "Napoleon Dynamite"?

The first time I saw it, I thought that it was the dumbest movie ever... until I saw it again, then I thought it was a movie we could all relate to... in a stupid sense.

The beauty of it, is that it was made with a low budget, it was full of unknowns, and it made no damn sense, but they made money off it!

I can't wait for the sequal!

I heard about this a week before it hit theatres, my friend said I HAD to see it... I thought it was gonna be dumb. Walked into the theatre and laughed my ass off.

I walked out going WOW that was like SO me in middle school
::blushes::
yeah I was a dork in middle school, I grew out of it come high school and moved to FL. I hate FL for it though... this state is what I call "24/7 party... and it'll break you in more way then one", I'd so much rather be a dork still, i see the dork in me still today, well hidden behind everything else. Look at me, I'm on a SEGA forum, the dorks still there!

But anyway, I liked the film mucho, a sequel sounds trashy... what I really liked most about the film was the fact it was very CLEAN humor. We don't get much clean humor anymore... you'll notice how they NEVER cuss in the film. I really liked that.

I've yet to see this and have been meaning to get around to it. Gotta remember to rent it one of these days.

It sucked.

I only watched the movie because everyone raves about how good it is, so... I'm still finding myself asking: what's with all the hype about? I didn't find the film to be funny, but rather stupid and slow.

I think the only part of the movie that had me on the floor laughing was when the farmer shot the cow in front of the kids on the bus. There where a few other parts that made me give out a little snicker, but that's it.

Regardless, I will watch the sequel just to see how bad it is.

Well Vicman knows how much I love this movie.

It's mostly a movie for people like me, you laugh at really random, dumb, but sort of clever things

Overall 8.5/10

Its an extemely dumb movie about a small town full of geeks and nerds. One in particular, Napoleon sorta finds himself.

It was ok...I don't reccomend buying it...rent it or borrow it or HBO/Stars. I give it 6/10.

Never saw that one and probably won't go out of my way to get it either. Still, I do give kudos to the creators for coming out with something that isn't another re-make of an older movie.

The latest travesty Hollywood is heaping on us is The Fog. Sorry, you're not going to do better than John Carpenter on a budget.

I "got it" from the very beginning. I've always liked it.

Honestly, I loved the movie the first time I saw it. It was only being shown in a couple theaters in town, and me and a couple friends just randomly picked it. I loved the cow part, uncle Rico, and Napolean's dance. Since then, I've liked the movie less and less. Maybe it's because I have a deep dislike for the main actor who can't do ANYTHING else, and maybe it's because it exploded in popularity, with EVERYONE quoting the movie. It just got old.

I thought it was ok. Kinda spoke to me, cause I never fit with things back in middle school. In high school, no one really cares who you are, you'll fit somewhere. At least, that's how it is where I come from.

Goofy/awkward and a little bit dry humor. I saw the movie opening night. Loved that movie.

It was a good movie. Something that hasn't been done to death.

Absolutely hated it. The only time I cracked a smile was when the guy was in the front yard trying to relive his old football glory days. The characters were not at all interesting and then for no reason there is a dance number near the end which was pointless, boring and not at all entertaining/funny. It made me say "WTF?"

Even the Princess Bride was funnier, and that movie was a turd.

Your Billy Squire dance video was pretty jawusum.

As for the movie, I spent much time during my single viewing trying to figure out the point of the movie.

And who does a fucking dance routine with sign language.

I loved that movie. Almost every character reminded me of someone in my life and I mean everyone, from Napoleon and his brother ,the lame high school girls in the talent contest, the disgusting egg drinking chicken farmers, and Pedro. I love dry humor that isn't so obvious. The story was somewhat refreshing as well. They are nerds just trying to get Pedro in to office, that's all. They are not trying to save the world or become the coolest kids in school. It is a subtle movie that doesn't move at the insane pace of most movies but I like them that way. The whole movie is about the absurdity of the moment and not always the gag.

I thought it was pretty funny for the most part but it kinda dragged out in the later half.

I don't think a movie has disappointed me so much in my entire life. I was essentially expecting what Superbad delivered a few years later, and got a turd lit on fire on my front porch. All of the "humor" was just cliched stereotypes. There were no real jokes, and the few jokes there were were like inside jokes without actually being inside to get the joke. The only part I kind of laughed at was the Sledgehammer bike jump and when Kip (is that his name?) backed over the "fiber woven bowl." It was almost as boring and pointless as King of the Hill. Oh yeah, when the guy from the Drew Carey Show said "you think anyone wants a roundhouse kick to the face while I'm wearing these bad boys" was pretty good too.

Man, nobody likes and dislikes this movie. You either Love it and think it's the best movie since movies were possible, or hate it and think it's the worst total turd, piece of shit, recorded film that shouldn't even be called a movie.

Plus, 17 days. I hated Superbad, because all it was were characters that were teenage boy stereotypes that makes it seem like every boy around my age think with our dicks. That's all it was for 2 hours. I hated that movie. Accepted was funnier; "Ask me about mah weenar!"

That is because teenage boys *DO* think with their dicks.
