I must say that, Itagaki is my true god, Ninja Gaiden has got to be the closest to perfect game I have EVER played (and I have a very soft spot for the DOA franchise). I just think that Boon would be a waist of time... for the most part. I think he would rather talk about the "new" Mortal Kombat games, and how great a franchise he has, and not about how hard it was to "copy" his characters.

I have even less intrest in the franchise ever since I saw the G4 interview. Ed mentioned stuff like how he copied the characters off of other movies, and franchises, and how they just sit around all day saying chinese "sounding" words to come up with the names... thats pathetic!

However, as Melf being my other god, I wish you luck, in you getting your Ed Boon interview.

Mortal Kombat was talked about in Congress. So, I would have to agree with Strida on 4 all the way. MK was infamous. It definately set the bar high for violent games. Probably had alot to do with the fact the characters were digitized actors and the violence was shocking. Who could forget the first time they saw Sub Zero rip a guys spine out?

Having played DOA since the psx (a time before my balls dropped), I liked the characters for there PERSONALITIES (same thing with Disney chicks), not there "bounce", it just feels weird to me to think of them sexually... but the reason I like DOA is because the ability to stop any move, and reverse it is just so damn cool in a fast fighting game (I don't like wrestling games). Besides THOSE are not real.

Street Fighter 2 is fun because it has more than like 5 moves, and has charaters that PLAY much diffrently too.

THEY STILL DO THE RANDOM NAME THING THOUGH!



and, its sad that the biggest combos in MK: Deception are basically left, right, left, punch.

I do, however like "some" of the ideas used in the new Mortal Kombats.

Stoping every move gets annoying and unbalances things.
Turning the entire game into Rock-Paper-Scissors.
Besides. . .you can stop most moves in VF4, but AM2 had the courtessy to balance it.

It's nice, but not something I'd spend too much money on.

Most of those problems were fixed in DOA: Ultimate, and are going to be carried onto DOA4.

I think VF4 evo is my fave 3D fighting game, but you can't throw Lau down a flight of stairs, and Pai can't get hit by a car!

Did anyone notice, that in VF4 in windy areas, that the women's breast slightly blow in the wind?

You tell me to stop this, and for me to stop critisizing you (I haven't done this), and then YOU critisize me for LIKING DOA?

Tekken clone? DOA is NOT a Tekken clone, Tekken basses it's game largely on "Juggles" (like the new MK games), not countering your opponent, then THROWING them off a bridge down the stairs, so if anything, the new MK is Tekken clone. DOA is easier for noobs to pick up, and play without you worring about button mashing as much.

DOA has a lot of great charcters... except some newer ones, but they are still MUCH more original then most MK characters, and DOA is far faster, and I count WAY more skimpy outfits, and huge breasts in MK: Deception, then in DOA: Ultimate.

Yes, MK: Deception has more features than DOA: Ultimate, but it's a fighting game (I classify MKD as a party game for all the useless features, still a fun game), and as such has WAY more moves, and levels then MK: Deception anyday!

DOA (the first one) is more like VF than Tekken.

I have nothing else to say, aside from that I liked the first DOA a little but none of the others, and I really can't tell the difference between DOA2 and 3 aside from graphics.

I hate MK for I know it is Shallow, Waaaay too Easy for n00bz, terrible graphics, unrealistic (expecially with phisics), and is just totally unfun for me.

I do like the multiple fight styles for characters, and how easy it is for n00bz to block... so they actually do.

I also like Bo-Rai-Cho (even though he is just a lame stereotype), but Brad Wong (from DOA, and also a drunk master) is the complete, and total shit!

I hate DOA caause of simplistic controls,too much porno,too many rehashes,and it has to be the most easiest fighter on the freakin planet, and the characters arent very original. I mean Bass in a frickin Hulk Hogan rip-off, and most of the chicks you could probably see in Japan all over the place and the sound is kind of f'ed up.Though the graphics are nice, but Im no graphics whore.

Cage is okay, I guess... and the DOA chicks are very original, except Tina, as I hate her (and her dad, Bass - and he is a copy of the Undertaker more than anything). I understand that the controls are simplistic (except for Ryu Hayabusa, oh.my.god, but the countering makes that a different story (9,4, then F is harder to do then you think). WHERE IS THERE PORNOGRAPHY???

ON THE HARDEST MODE! MK, also has the most unoriginal fighters ever, except maybe Frost, Baraka, and Reptile, which are not very creative either. Does no one else think that Midway has the worst artists in the gaming industry? I cant think of anyone who does more badly drawn characters as them. All the 3D Mortal Kombats look truely awful. At least DOA has some slightly interesting characters instead of some generic looking ninjas with bad names.
