So what do people think of Fantastic Dizzy? General opinions seem to be a bit negative. It was on the table of 'a bunch of s**t' in AVGN's Texas Chainsaw Massacre review. I've read some reviews that complain about it's lack of save feature, which is a very valid complaint. I like the game, it gives me a weird feeling (of exploration?) no other game has, and I love the drum sound they managed to get out of the Mega Drive/Genesis' sound hardware. :)

Fantastic Dizzy was one of the best Codemasters games on Sega's black box o' love.

Don't listen to those who complain about the game - sure, I hate some things about the game, but that still doesn't change the fact that it's a a fantastic (sorry) adventure.

To top it that, go search for it on Ebay - it goes for quite some much...

I tried an NES Dizzy game and didn't like it. If it was released for Genesis I would've avoided it.

Good game. I like the Dizzy series. I wish more of them had been ported to consoles. I think Fantastic Dizzy was the last Dizzy game ever made?

I tried an NES Dizzy game and didn't like it.

If it was the one that was on the Quattro Adventure cart, that's pretty much the worst Dizzy game ever.

I hear this game's hard. Just how hard is it? On a 1-10 scale, 10 being toughest, how hard is it? Because I might want a copy.

I guess the hard part is staying awake.

How long does it take to finish it if you know what you're doing?

I played one of the Dizzy games on NES but I thought it was amazing. Technically it was one of the better NES games I had saw at the time! IIRC the cart had a switch on the back with an "A" and "B" setting claiming the game may not work on all NES systems and to try "B" mode if this happened. It was a blue or pink cart I seem to remember also.

This game is very fun but long...As for the prices they're going for, I managed to get one at GameCrazy for .99 cents

Needs Save Option. Sorry, but it's just inescapable - you're an hour into the game, and then you end up dying in some pathetic way (e.g. rats). Why should you be made to start from the very beginning?

(Although that's a criticism you could level at many a MD game, given the type of this'un, and the fact that (Ithink) there was a save option on other systems, it bothers me here.)

Also, I hate the way he rolls down hills. Yeah, I know, he's an egg, but nevertheless... :)

There was nothing fantastic about Fantastic Dizzy, except maybe turning the game off, that was pretty awesome.

Fantastic Dizzy sounds like a drug for hippies.
