View Full Version : Wonder Dog: A forgotten gem!
One of the best and most over looked games on the Sega-CD and 16 bit era imo. Fantastic art style and graphics, wonderful music and tight control. It was truly one of a kind.
What does everyone else think about this great gem of a game?

Yet another well-designed, fun game by Core. They were really the bee's knees back then.
Hell yes, this game is sooooo underrated. Wonderful little platformer that needs more respect!

I just played it and it's a decent game, nothing too stellar, but it's got that 'ol Amiga charm.

European platformers just don't do it for me. I feel disappointed even with the Euro platformers that are well spoken of.
Now that I see so much liking for this game I'll try it out again. Maybe I can see it from another angle now.

How far along did you play the game?

Like the second act. It's not a horriable game, just not the end all to be all platformer.
Try it for a couple more level's. :)

I thought the sound effects were great. Especially the Homer Simpson "Doh!" sound effect the bulldogs in Act Two made when they were damaged. Hillarious!

It was kind of neat, but the controls and gameplay were really funky. Definitely very Euro, which means "not refined". I liked the music but the recording quality was very low, like that of a cassette tape instead of a CD. Reminds me of James Pond, except that I actually own this game.

Yeah, its a run of the mill platformer, but I still thought the cows moooing in the background of level one was funny. Great sound effects throughout.
