Lately, my poor Model 1 Genesis has been kind of acting up lately, so I've been cautious about using it. That and I've never owned a Sega CD despite having wanted one...so a little while ago I found out about the JVC X'eye, and it sounded like a good plan. I figure if I can get one cheap enough it'll retire my original Genesis and finally let me play Sega CD games (...well, mostly Snatcher).

But is it worth it? Have there been any major problems reported with them? And does anyone here have one?

I love mine, it has a quiet cd-rom drive, great audio, and few compatbility issues. Plus, you can play some impot games bcause of the cart slot shape.

I also give it props, nice little compact unit.

**edit**

Quickly read title and thought you meant/said CDX, I own both units and they are both nice. Never a problem with either...

I have one. It's nice, but there's nothing in particular about it that makes it head and shoulders better than a Genesis with Sega CD.
