The skins are sold by a different company than vBulletin for $30 each. I had the Plasma skin, but the license ran out, so I have to buy it back to do the upgrade. It's good for a year though, so any major change that occurs during that time doesn't require another purchase. I still have the old version, but it's not compatible with several features of the new vBulletin, like multi-quote.

I'm currently awaiting payment for some game stuff I sold, and I plan to buy Plasma back, as well as another light skin so those who prefer them don't have to use the default one.

You can change the skin by choosing it in the lower left corner. It should apply to all boards simultaneously, so you shouldn't even be seeing it in the staff forum.

The Plasma X one in the staff forum looks equivalently the same.

Hmm, check your user cp and go to "Edit Options." Check under "Miscellaneous Options" and set to "default." Everyone should be on the default skin, so I don't know why you're seeing the Plasma one.

Surprise, surprise! Nothing there either! What is even weirder is the fact that I only see it on the staff forum... when I click on "User CP" there it turns to the light one again. But let's just forget it, there are bigger problems in the world than the fact that I have a currently non-licensed skin in one sub-forum on Sega-16 - for example the fact that you have to pay Magical Experience Points to save in Lunar II, a great game I'm currently playing!

The skin is disabled in the style manager. Ken, check the styles & templates section. Staff group members don't have permissions to view disabled skins.
