I was thinking, a Sega Saturn spinoff site would be great. I don't think Melf would have the time, but if I had a layout or something I could do _some_ work. :)

That would be a good idea.
That would rock, but I doubt I could contribute, given how much time Sega-16 takes up. It'd make a cool sister site though.

Well, I'm starting some work on this saturn site. I'm a big fan of the domestic library -- don't ask.

Sounds cool, even though I don't have a Saturn.

How about a Master System site? There used to be so many great Master System sites, now there are just a few. The old SMS deserves a site as good as this one.

That's a great site for SMS info. Just like this one, they definitely put a lot of thought and research on their respected system.

Yep... such a site doesn't really exist for Saturn. Dave's page is the closest I've seen, and it ain't it.

Maybe Sega-16 can have a subforum for Sega Saturn? It's not much, but it'd be a step in the right direction.
Sorry to bump such an old thread, but I figured it's better addressed in a preexistening one than in a new one.
And I'd love for there to be a place for the Saturn to get some (much needed) attention.

Well, since the thread has been gravedug, so to speak...
I bought a Saturn a few months back and have been pretty lost for a good website. Most of the ones out there are non-English sites based in Europe. There's always Dave's Sega Saturn Page (now only available through the web archive), but the system dearly needs a new champion.
So, for the sake of the .001% chance somebody who just so happens to be looking for a lifetime web project to take up stumbles across this thread, I say 'this is a great idea'!
Besides, you have the wunderkind Sega-16 to use as a model, so how can you go wrong?

If I actually had a working one, i'd enjoy a Saturn site a little more. But I don't think anyone here can really have the time and energy to put it together.
(Wow, the only person with the abillitys to put a site like this together was the guy with a family and career. Damn. Who knew?)

Sorry if I offend anyone by bumping this but I concur... a Sega Saturn site in Sega-16's vain would kick ass.
Ever since Dave Z's Sega-Saturn.com site went under, there hasn't a Saturn review database that does the system proud. It's sad. Dave's site was awesome, I remember games like NiGHTS had 23 user reviews. On late nights it was fun browsing them. I especially liked JM Vargas and Dark Falcon's work. They even took friendly jabs at one another... i.e. "Unlike JM who recently overrated SCUD: Disposable Assassin, I will not overrate this piece of turd HEXEN."
Then I'd go click on SCUD afterwards naturally. Those were the days. Someone should do it. I would, but I'm a couple years late (my Saturn passion died off along with the year 2005). We need a Saturn MANIAC to take the reins
