We already have product reviews, which cover sequels to or remakes of titles which appeared on Sega's 16-bit systems, but we don't have anything for hardware. I reviewed the Sega Menacer gun under the PR label, but lately I've been thinking that it belongs more to hardware. I was considering separating the two.

Things we would include in hardware reviews:

- controllers & arcade sticks
- converters (Honey Bee, Game Genie, etc)
- special peripherals, like the Activator and Outback Joey device

Basically everything in the Accessory and Peripheral Guide. We could leave the product reviews to software only.

Thoughts?

I've got a joystick I could review, I suppose. Would it just get stuck into the A&P guide? I don't have enough to say to make it an article.

I could do something on the Genesis 3, but you don't want pix of my Genesis 3.

I got a Code Buster Converter (which works in strange ways)
An Ascii-ware Fighter Stick SG-6 (which also works in strange ways)
A Suncom Tac-50 Joystick (for genesis)
And a original Sega 6 button controller (small version).

I guess I could review these, Id need a co-writer though, to check my spelling and give me a few pointers on what would be interesting for the readers to know about in case I miss some common approach.

I've recently purchased a Sega Nomad and would be happy to submit something for your review. I'm new to the site and am not sure if you'd be interested in such ramblings..however, I'd be happy to expound.

I can do a review of the Genesis 3 - hell, I'll have two of the systems soon anyway. I can give some good pics as I have the original box with it. The one I have at the moment is actually in very good condition, and my g/f has a model 2 which she may let me borrow for comparison. And I'll do the supposed "incompatiblity" tests on them - Virtua Racing, Gargoyles (maybe), the 32X and Game Genie. I've already done the Game Genie part, and guess what? IT WORKS. Check my thread under Genesis Does "Model 3".

Gargoyles, Turrican and Virtua Racing don't work on my system. And I didn't really try the Game Genie much.

Maybe they'll work on yours?

edge, that'd be great. Any findings you can document on compatibility is always welcome, since it's one of Sega-16's most important functions. We could definitely use an article on the model 3 Genny.

I'd be happy to help any way I can.

I'll do a combo review and feature of the Arcade Power Stick. I am planning on a feature on the best games for it, so why don't I review it as well? It's good to be back in the swing of things.

EDIT: Whoa, I saw this at the thing on the bottom (Similar Threads), and I thought it was Recently Updated threads. Sorry from raising this thread from the dead. Still a good idea, I believe.
