Hello fellow sega fans.

Im in need of your expertise on this matter. Here's the background story.

15 years ago (1992-93) i was at a boarding school in Kansas as an exchange student, it was a programme that lasted 1 year and its purpose was to learn the language (english), im from Mexico, and was 12 yr old at the time.

In the dorms there was kids from all over the world, and there was this one japanese guy who brought his japanese mega drive with him, and i used to spend hours just watching him play his MD games.

There were 3 games in particular that caugh my eye, although i couldnt understand much about them since they were all in japanese.

1.- the first game that i really liked was some sort of strategy type of RPG (which a year later i saw in EGM that it was called shining force and it was coming to these shores).

2.- the 2nd game was very much like a zelda game but with way better graphics. (like SF i saw pics of this game like a year later on EGM and got it as soon as it was released. "LANDSTALKER").

3.- The 3rd game i saw this japanese guy playing on his MD was a strategy (maybe even rpg) turn based but with robots. to this day i have never found what its name was and dont know if it was ever released on the American / European markets. It was basically a strategy game but in the future "as in big robots & mechas (battles were turn based and the battle animations were like the ones in Shining force, like cinematics). i cant remember much more about it now...

Does anyone know anything about this 3rd and final game? its been 15 years since i saw it and have never seen it again.

2nd might be Soleil/Crusader of Centy, as I've told its like Zelda... 1 and 3rd are mystery for me.

Mazin Wars/ Mazin Saga maybe? Only game i can think of with giant robots in it off the top of my head.

Vixen 357? (http://www.guardiana.net/MDG-Database/Mega%20Drive/Vixen%20357/)

I've never played this game, but it seems to fit your description.

Japan only i believe, might be a Korean release of it but that would be even harder to get a hold of :D.

Why not try it on an emulator and see if it's the right game?

i would definetly have to try it out on an emulator, but for what i have seen online, reading different sites and pages on that game , it does seem to be the one i was looking for after all these years :D

now the problem. if it is indeed that game, then it appears it never left japan :(

im trying to find if theres a translated script on the web somewhere...

Or a walkthrough/guide? That game looks cool, never noticed it before.

Walkthrough here (http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/genesis/file/570435/48000).

Just like many a Japanese MD game, wish they'd translated it!

"Atomic Robo Kid". That's GOTTA be it. Everybody ate that & "D.J Boy" up back in 1990. Not like there was much else to play on the third-party front anyway. <SARScasm>

He said strategy game. Neither of those are strategy games. :p Oh, and Atomic Robo Kid is a nice game, regardless of how much Melf bashes it. :p

Because developers assume that we're a stupid continent and can handle reading and thinking too much in a video game. We also are frightened by anything not resembling Western art.
