OK, you've had S-16 on the new server for a little bit, it's time for some feedback. Please rate on a scale of 1-5, with 1 being "zomg yuo suck" and 5 being "EL HADATT IS TEH GRAETIST ADMIN EVAR".

Speed?
Web server errors? Ex: 404, 505, etc.
Database errors? Ex: MySQL errors
For those with email accounts @sega-16.com: Spam?

A note on spam: I've been alerted to a few issues (i.e. high spam counts), but unfortunately I wasn't clued in until just yesterday, so the problem may still exist. I'm working on it, please be patient.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding on any issues that may present themselves.

It's been flawless for me. (5/5)

Sega-16 is faster than I can think. The pages now come up BEFORE I even click on the link. It's so fast that it actually goes backwards in time. Great work! 5.

There are sega16.com e-mail accounts?

Other than that you've been doing good Mr. Sampson.

Yeah, seems fine to me. I just want my Plasma X back. I know that it costs money.

5 bazillion points.

It seems to be working perfectly.
Except for some broken links form older features and reviews.

Thanks, Rus.

Trek: That's more a vBulletin 3.7 issue than it is the server. Ken should take care of that.

Kollision: Again, that's a Ken issue.

Server is reporting error 400, bad request, no matter which browser I use. If this post goes through, then it's only doing it in the auction block section.

Alright, I can reply, but I couldn't post a new thread.

4.5. Everything runs smooth and all. Only problem is that in the hub I see this atrocious Plasma X skin with the Dreamcast-era Sonic artworks that look more out of place than Lars Ulrich behind a drumkit.

I can't say I've noticed any difference. I assume that would warrent a 5/5?

I want PlasmaX back too :(

4/5 ... I'm getting "server not found" / "page cannot be displayed" every once in a while... reload/refresh will help for that on the first try.

Plasma is coming back! Just be a bit more patient.

I just ran into something. When I tried to upload a signature, I got a

GET to /forum/profile.php not supported.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Power MOD by web4host.net Server at www.sega-16.com Port 80

At first I thought it might just be the signature I was trying to get in but when I tried to put in the last one I had that's in my CP, I got the same response.

Actually, now that Wasp brings it up, I can't change my avatar. It's a proper size but it says it can't write the temporary file.

MisterX & TmEE: Empty your browser's cache.

wasp: Weird, I'll try it.

Vinny: That's probably a permissions thing. I blame Ken. I'll look at it in a bit.

The signature and avatar thing is really weird. It stems from the same file, so that might be the issue. I'll check later when I can.

I am not able to save changes I am trying to make to certain custom BB codes. I get a 404 "not implemented" error.

I've been trying to create a thread on the "Insert Coin" board since last night, but always get an HTTP 400 error no matter what I do. It was a lengthy, detailed opening post, so lucky that I saved it instinctively.

... when you try to request a new password.

Also, you're setting yourself up a great headache by not allowing anything but specific request types to certain files for a miniscule gain in security. People who want to exploit your code aren't going to be sending random requests of types that differ from those that would be sent by legitimate use. They'll study your application, check what data is being sent where and figure out if there's a way to manipulate a seemingly legitimate request to do their bidding. No fancy HIPS stuff is ever going to be able stop that.

OK, I'll refrain from saying nasty things to you, in spite of being overworked, tired, and generally annoyed. I surmised last night that mod_security may be the culprit, but with just S-16 and one other site using forums, it's hard to get error reports. I will freely admit that I've been lazy and I used someone else's ruleset.

Do me a favor and give me a working mod_security 2.5 ruleset. Until I find one, I'm taking it out of my Apache config.
