Mel, are you planning to sell the Genesis 2 AV adaptors from the fresh load of Sega stuff you recently posted in the monthly haul thread? If so, I'd be interested in buying one.
Updated list, the AV adapters have come in!
I hope you guys don't mind loose games, Im expecting a large shipment of about 70 random non-sports games to come in.
I'll keep you all up to date as i get news.
And Ken will have news from me later.. mauhahaha
Well, The mixed games came in.. I put up a few of the ones i noted. No prices on them, please make an offer if you're interested.
I'll take a full inventory somet ime this weekend.
Updated pricing, loose games at about 50% off dp pricing, depending on condition of the cartridge.
Put prices on everything. I have some other stuff, but mostly sports games to add to the list. Anyone trying to complete a loose sega genesis collection?

I am. DO you have a list of more non sports games?
Thanks!
I checked the games, Nothing in really nice condition, lots of games w/ torn labels and such. I hope I'll be able to generate enough money to buy another large lot of games.
If you have a want list, send it to me, I'll see what I can do for you.
:
Updated list of games, if you bought something, and I didn't mark it sold, its b/c I still have more copies left.
Added sonic 1 and 2 loose, which will be arriving early next week.
I guess this thread will be here for the long haul. im closing the digitpress thread. I think i've gotten the most I could out of that place.
updated want list, and added a couple o fnew items.

What does "50% off DP Price or less depending..." imply? What is DP Price?
Vicman
07-31-2005, 09:11 AM
Nevermind, you only accept paypal and I don't use paypal anymore for ethical/economic safety reasons.
I can take money order if anything, I forgot to edit that.
DP price is Digitalpress, they make a priceguide for videogame collectors. By depending I mean, the condition of the cartidge or the popularity of the game. Which means if the game is really unpopular a $5 game may go for less.

That's great to hear Mel. I've used Paypal before and I got ripped off, Paypal refused to honor their money back guarantee and I got burned.
http://www.paypalsucks.com was a real eye opener on paypal's shady business tactics and made me realize after talking to my bank that once you've opened up your bank account to paypal they have carte blanche to steal your money and you often can do little to stop it ahead of time and only after they've done so can you do anything, leaving you in serious trouble. Reading up personal stories from people who've had thousands of dollars stolen from them by paypal, and from paypal employees giving inside evidence on how dirty and unethical paypal is made me close my bank account that I had listed with them, I reopened another with a diff. #, and report my debit card as stolen so as to make sure paypal couldn't get to my money. I'm not a paranoid person and have realized that it was a small chance I'd be targeted by paypal's unethical practices but they already burned me once, on refusing to honor their money back guarantee, and it's better to be safe than sorry even if it means the extra hassle of paying for things online via money order.

Vicman, how much money did you lose in that PayPal chaos?

Around $75. The seller sold me junk and refused to give me a refund. Paypal didn't honor their buyer protection and pretty much told me "too bad, so sad". Just read up http://www.paypalsucks.com 's frontpage and peruse it's forums and you'll get an eye opener. Think to yourself about how easy using paypal is, now think to yourself what protections are in place to gaurantee that your account is truly protected from internal theft and unethical confiscation of your paypal & bank account funds. Seriously, talk to your bank/credit union and more often than not you'll find out there's nothing much they can do since you've given paypal the right to take money out of your account like you yourself do when you withdraw funds via a debt card. That easy access to your money is dangerous, especially so when you're dealing with an unethical business with poor hiring practices (they don't do background checks on new employees) and purposely awful customer service.
Nonetheless I don't want to take up anymore of Mel's great sale thread with this topic.
Anyways, Mel I'm interested in some of your merchandise, so check your PM's. :)

I don't mind, but the Ops might =)
Regardless, I want to be as fair and as open to everyone, even paypal users. though I do understand the risks, and recommend great care when using paypal.
VECTORMAN 2, just a few left... NEW SEALED!

Its SegaCD, only play's US NTSC version games. Type 2 top loading. No box no instructions. $25 if you request me to hold one now (USD) $30 if you wait until they arrive.
Pictures will be available once they arrive from my wholesaler. Shipping to Germany won't be known until I have an opportunity to weigh the items.
Segacd comes complete with everything you need to connect it to your Genesis or Megadrive.

Mel, any chance you could pull down a copy of Lightning Force or Monster World 4? If so, asking prices?

I don't have too many sources for non US games, I recommend japangamestock, the shipping is high, but they're very good. I bought a Japanese dreamcast and some other stuff from there. Very kind people.
They also take requests, and they'll help you find a game.

After looking through that site, I was a little dissapointed with their stock. I have been told by the guy that runs videogameimports.com that if I make a large order that I can get 15% off, but when the games are running from 130-200 USD, that doesn't offer me much solace.
To get the games cart only is even between 70 USD and 100 USD. That is rediculous.

Japangamestock has a form where you can request a game if you need something a little rarer.
I saw videogameimports.com and their prices are horribly high.

I actually talked to the guy that runs VGI.com and he told me that he could get me cart only rare games for price.
Alien Soldier still costs him something like 60 pounds to get (that is about 100 USD). However, he only works in Japanese Imports, and doens't carry the Austrailian copy.

I was wondering, Mel - do you do much drawing? I'm assuming those couple of alien dudes on your page are handmade creations.

Yes, all the aliens were customed made FOR me, but not by me. THey were made by friends, and i played with them in GIMP (image editor) to get the monochrome effect I wanted. Actually the one used fo the menu logo was originally in full color.. =)
I've been using the alienspace name since '96 or '97 (I used to run a BBS)
