Usually books and newspapers aren't backlit. When you're basically staring at a light bulb, darker colors are easier on the eyes.

The plasma skin is too blue for my liking, though. I'd prefer black with grey.

All I know is that after I read articles on Sega-16 my eyeballs hurt and it is much harder to focus on the text (short articles or whatnot are fine). After I read the forums (with the default skin) my eyeballs are fine.

A Sonic skin, an Earthworm Jim skin, a Ristar skin, a Thunder Force skin, a Toejam & Earl skin, a Shinobi skin, a Castlevania Bloodlines skin, a Contra Hard Corpse skin, a MUSHA skin, a Snatcher skin, a Kolibri skin, a John Madden Football 93 skin, a Tommy Lasorda skin (it would be all leathery, like his face), a Phantasy Star skin, a Beggar Prince skin, a Pier Solar skin, an Altered Beast skin, a Flicky skin, a CLUE skin, a Divine Sealing skin, a Super Thunderblade skin (which would be the default skin) and of course a skin based on the system itself (with each model and peripheral having its own skin).

It sure does! Joe I apologize I was having a rough day, you are not a dick. It probably came off sounding crass across the computer but I wasn't really mad. I call people dicks all the time but in person they are usually able to tell im not completely serious (and also a very crude individual) but on the computer there is no voice to go off of. Anyway you will be happy to know I spent my time in solitude reading and lifting weights and now im ready to be a productive member of this online community.
