Is there any size difference between the Genny/32X carts and the MS carts?

SMS carts and genesis carts are the same size, except the back edges aren't the same shape. 32x carts are a little bit wider(across the front and Back) than genesis carts.

So technically, couldn't a console be made that supported all three formats? Add a CD-Rom drive and you have Sega CD Support, and maybe they could make a side slot for GG games. Can anybody do this?

It would have to have two slots, one for 32x/Genesis and one for SMS. Reason being, SMS cartridges have a different connection -- that's why Genesis needs the Power Base Converter, rather than being able to play SMS carts out of the box.

It would be technically feasible to make a console that can play every Sega home system from SG-1000 up through Saturn, as Saturn has most of the internals to do it. But it would be a mess.
