I know it's hard to find a good movie game, most suck as do all movies made from Video games...but there are a few; here are my favorites:
Demolition Man: 3DO (I dislike the Genesis/Sega CD game) but this game has so much variety...I used to hate it, but I fired it up recently and it deserves more credit than I originally lent it. Parts of it suck, admittedly, but the variety is astounding
Terminator: Sega CD--all in all a cool cool game.
...that's probably it for me...I like the Dune game for the Sega CD but this is much closer to the book than the movie.

Goldeneye for the N64. How many games let you play an early 3-d model of Pierce Brosnon, and Shot Commies ? Eat that, "Queers" of War

I swear I'm probably the only one who actually had the guts to beat MMPR: The Movie on Genesis Twice.

Disney's Aladdin on the Genesis! That game was quite fun! (David Perry ftw)

I have to second Die Hard Trilogy, though for the Saturn...same game...awesome game...same with Die Hard Arcade, though only the title retains any shred of the movie while trilogy is almost dead on.
Alien Trilogy on the Saturn was also good, forgot to mention that...

Not many people liked it but one of my favorites was Stargate on both Genesis and SNES. I bet I would like it on other platforms but haven't played them. I think I'm biased.

The Game Boy Color edition of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is probably the best adaption that I played (The PS2 version couldn't hold my interest and the GBA version, while visually nice, was nothing special and rather easy), this game is VERY hard at times though but does get the best out of the Game Boy Colors sound and graphics (I'm surprised it has not made the lists of impressiveness). I'd say it is actually very underrated. If you like RPG's, play it. It has great humor too.

The Roque Squadron games were pretty spectacular, particularly the second.
I've also been enjoying 007: Everything or Nothing.
Did anyone play Willow on the NES?

Some of the Star Trek games are okay - Star Trek Invasion for PSX was pretty decent.
007 Nightfire was great - I have yet to play From Russia With Love.
I thought that the Super Star Wars games were just too difficult. Without an invincibility cheat, I could not beat any of those games. I have played through them by skipping levels and they do it very well - especially the Death Star trench level.
Star Wars Arcade - the newer one with the bonus levels from ESB and ROTJ is in my top five arcade games of all time.
Star Wars Battlefront II - Its fun, the campaign is long enough and it has a good replay factor. Should be in everyone's library.
Never played Willow - I bet it is boring. You could check if NESguide.com has an entry on it.

Hell no. Willow is a far better game than movie. It's essentially a Zelda clone but without the arbitrary puzzles and an actual plot. It's more linear than Zelda, and I think the movie's poor story and ugly characters hurt the game somewhat. Definitely worth checking out if you're into those kinds of overhead action-adventure games.

On the Genesis, one of the best is with no doubt Ghostbusters.

Adams family games on multiple systems. IDK there aren't really any great movie games besides golden eye. Someone should make a nightmare on elm street game that doesn't suck. And a Halloween game that doesn't suck would be appreciated also.

Iīll never understand how anyone can praise this game; it is so damn average, and has so little to do with the movies in terms of gameplay. The only decent Ghostbusters games were David Craneīs GB and GB II on GameBoy Color.
So, I hereby nominate the two!

Goldeneye and Aladdin are the two best movie games by far. Batman Returns for Snes is pretty cool too. Ok its a TV series, but the Knight Rider games for PS2 are fantastically bad, so bad they are good.

You've actually PLAYED Waterworld for the Virtua Boy?
I'd never had thought such a person existed...
Batman on the NES (damn the music is just awesome!) and Ghostbusters on the Genesis/Mega Drive are the only movie related games I like.

THE GAME IS AN AVERAGE ACTION--PLATFORMER AND IF YOU CHANGED THE SPRITES IT HAD NO CONNECTION TO GHOSTBUSTERS!
Itīs like a Chinese sprite hack of some 08/15 game!

Yeah, I mean Batman Returns on the Sega CD...except for all the driving crap, is fairly similar to the movie is it not?
In the 16-bit era of gaming, how could a game not at some point, look like the run-of-the-mill platformer with movie sprites?
Itīs like a Chinese sprite hack of some 08/15 game!
I won't put it that way. Imho, I find the game very well put together. I think Sega wasn't developing the game as direct movie licensed product, since the game wasn't released in the same time frame as the movie. I think Sega was developing the game more for the fans of the cartoon series, which was on TV at the time. But since Sega didn't use "The Real Ghostbusters" title on the actual product to differentiate itself from the movie, I can understand your point about the game not have much in common with the movie. Still, I find there are enough elements of the movie to call this a movie related title.

Yeah and I sold it not too long after.
I have every North American released Virtual Boy game, except for Waterworld. I probably should have kept it, for collector's sake, but the game was one of the worst I've ever played. It was pretty much poorly done ripoff of Battle Zone, with crowded screens and a horrible sense of forward movement.
The game was so bad, that I'd call the movie a masterpiece in comparison.

I have, regrettably. :p The only thing that carries the license are the sprites. Arbitrarily removing them would make the value of the license nil for any game. Hell, Fishing Derby could "play like Ghostbusters" if I were to redraw the sprites. :p

Also, any early 90s Disney movie-game made by Virgin Interactive.

Thats not true, I'd say that it is about 70% good games to 30% bad games. Have you ever played Star Wars: Masters of Teras Kasi? Or how about Shadows of the Empire? I hear the first Rebel Assault for Sega CD is pretty awful. Star Wars Chess has to be pretty laughable. Star Wars Obi-Wan was pretty crappy too. I have never played the Jedi Knight game though.

Off subject, but who's played The Force Unleashed? It got mostly average reviews, but I don't see how the game can't be at least a little awesome
