Adventure gamers, we've something special for you! Sega-16 recently sat down with Dynamix founder Jeff Tunnell, creator of such classics as The Adventures of Willy Beamish and Rise of the Dragon. He had a lot of interesting things to say about what it was like to bring these two fan favorites to Sega's little CD-ROM. Check out our Q&A session (http://www.sega-16.com/Feature-%20Jeff%20Tunnell%20Interview.htm) with him for all the details.

Jeff Tunnell: After working on the much more powerful PC platform, working on the Sega system was a nightmare. This was a difficult project. No other consoles could be considered at the time. We did some experimental work a little later on the 3DO system, but that system failed in the marketplace as well.

I wonder why the CD32 wasn't considered. They had a Amiga version of The Adventures of Willy Beamish infact Amiga fans were put off with the number of disks it came on so the CD32 would seem like a possible platform to look at for it.

But who had a CD32...?

I never even knew what it was until a few years ago.

CD32 was actually kind of popular in Europe. But it was only supported for a short time.

The CD32 was kinda neat.

Double Speed CD drive, 256000 colors at a time and no mpeg decoder to save cost yet one could be added so you could use the CD32 as a VCD player if you wanted to, there was also a addon to turn the CD32 into a full Amiga computer.

But Commodore went belly up shortly after.
