Sega-16 was recently moved to a new server. Everything looks like it came over just fine, but if you see any weird stuff, please email me (Lhadatt) through the board's email system.

Thanks!

- Josh

Will do! So far I haven't experienced any problems with the forums or the main site, but I'll be sure to holla holla should anything go wonky. :)

For some reason random links around the forum are takeing me to the following website http://search.biz.tm/ rather than where they are supposed to lead. It might be something on my end though, so I'm going to see if the problem occurs when I'm using a different computer.

I'm having the same problem on my other computer, which by the way is running a different browser.

I had the same redirection problem viewing the site with Firefox this evening, but not with Internet Explorer.

Same here. How very odd. Can't seem to stop it doing it either.

It happens to me after I post mostly.

Melf just gave me more info about this that allowed me to figure it out. Hackers exploited code in PHPBB that allowed them to alter the board code. It automagically knows to redirect to search.biz and stuff. Cleaning this out now.

Ok, let's give this a go.

Certain things, like the quick reply box, are gone. They will have to be hacked back in at another time.

Please post what's missing or what doesn't work here.

Giving it the once over, it looks like everything but the quick reply box survived intact. I'll be sure to holla holla if anything else looks wonky.

Thanks! :) :pop:

Ok, looks like I got it all sorted out this time.

I had to re-download a new version of the forum, install to a separate folder, re-download subBlack, copy over Plasma and inspect it for hacks, then recopy avatars and smilies.

The hackers left junk in the previous forum install that I didn't find right away. It wasn't a PHPBB hack, it was a PHP hack, and I've installed mod_security on the server - this should prevent it from happening again.

Let me know via email or on AIM at Lhadatt if it happens again.

I'm still getting it. :(

Can confirm that. I still get it. :(

Found some more gunk in the one PHP file I ported over - the board config. Not sure how I missed that. Anyway, try it now and see if things work.

We'll tell you if we come across anything. Nothing so far. :)

On the forum main page, there no longer appears to be notification of the most recent post as used to show up to the far right of the currently online users.

I miss the Quick Reply box.

I believe they will both be added in again later. :)

Of course, the moment I take out the security stuff I put in the other day, the server goes hyper kicky turbo again... I thought I did this the first time I noticed the increased speeds (cause, yeah, the last change you make is always suspect if things break right after you make the change...), but I didn't notice any appreciable difference that time.

This time, though, we're back to normal. I guess I have to figure out a better method for configuring that security module.
