There's a right way to do an adventure game, and there's Earnest Evans. So much potential wasted...While not a truly bad game, there was enough wrong to make you wonder what had happened. It was the type of game you really wanted to like but never matched the original (which wasn't a triple A title to begin with). Read our full review (http://www.sega-16.com/Earnest%20Evans%20review.htm).

And the Japanese only Mega CD version is much different, or better.

You could use the same review for the CD version too. The only differences are different cutscenes and better quality music. If you really wanted to buy the Mega CD version, I've seen a lot of new copies for sale online.

If there are differences, there could be separate reviews.
depending on how great the [differences] are of course

This game is actually one of my favorites.
But that's somewhat similar to how much I like Sol-Feace. . .the Soundtrack.

I would have given it a 7 or 8

Plus, it's actually a sidestory/Sequel to El Viento. . .since Annet is a character in the game.

It's the prequel to El Viento, if I'm not mistaken. I need to play through it completely one of these days to get the full gist of the plot.

So what if it's the prequel, sequel, or whatever to El Viento? I don't care if it's related to a great game, Earnest Evans still sucks. A 6 is far too generous.

I love Sol-Deace it took me a while to get a working iso, but damn it's one of my fav shumps. I only gave Earnest Evans a six because, well I have low standards, lol.

It's not like I gave it a 10, like Super Thunder Blade or that RC game..

Nah, it's not a bad review.

...except for the fact that's it's wrong. ;)
