I've been thinking about it and I rekon so -

Spiderman Vs the Kingpin - the only Spider-man game I ever played that conveyed the style of the comic book, it had all spidey's moves, loads of depth and ideas, and was kinda' gritty (punching a police officer in the face to continue?!)

X-Men - Big explorable levels, loads of different characters with all their moves, 2 player Co-op, close styling to the Comic (not like that cartoony stuff Capcom would bring out that looked nothing like the comic) loved cheating with Nightcrawler too

Robocop Vs Terminator - Virgin did an excellent job with the Dark Horse comic
the only thing I don't like it the voice clips interspersed with the music of the women/transexual saying "terminator" in a stupid voice

Punisher - The only home port of the pretty cool beat-em-up

Chakan - way too difficult, but recently I've been practising and improving and I have to say I quite like it, especially the styling and weapons and stuff

Captain America and the Avengers - pretty good beat-em-up, the only Avengers game I can think of, and the SNES version was an absolute mess

The Adventures of Batman and Robin - alright run and Gun with impressive graphics, I think in this case though the SNES wins out as their platformer style version I think was probably the better game

Spider-Man: Maximum Carnage was pretty cool but Multi-format

Death and Return of Super-man was half decent but also multi-format

Judge dredd was alright but I think that was also multi-format

there's probably a load I'm forgetting

Judge Dredd and The Adventures of Batman and Robin were both two very well made comic book games for the system.

And kudos to the X-men as well!

Just remembered a few more -

Yu Yu Hakusho - great, original fighter

Hyperstone Heist (the Turtles were originally from a comic book)

Mystic Defender (from Kujaku O) - great platformer with excellent weapon system

"Wolverine: Adamantium Rage" is an underrated game with a high leaning curve (a.k.a difficult, crappy controls) that I enjoyed and beat once I got the hang of it. I should do a speedrun of it and show just how great it looks in motion once you know all of Wolvie's moves and how to use them. It's reminiscent of Capcom's SNES Marvel games in terms of special moves.

What about the spider man Maximum Carnage and Separation Anxiety games? I remember liking SA

The Genesis is the best for non-japanese comic games. The PC Engine's probably the best for manga based games.

I agree, Comix Zone is the greatest comic book game ever made! I love just about every marvel game that came out on the Genesis. They all rocked.

Even Shinobi where you get to fight Spiderman. Awesome!

Wolverine Adamantium rage was a great title that DID NOT work on the SNES. It is 1000x better on Genesis.....like most games.

I haven't played much of the SNES version of Wolverine (which is a completely different game that only shares some common villains and Wolvie moves with the Genesis) but it seemed alright. The graphics were more cartoony and not as "gritty" as the Genesis versions' though. Wolvie could also run in the SNES version.

Chakan isn't based off of a comic is it? Ive never played it for some unexplainable reason

That game would be my favourite if it wasn`t for the whole 1 life thing, and I think it would have done better if you atleast had 3 lives or something along those lines. But it will forever be an awesome game!

Comix Zone becomes much easier once your memorize the hard parts of the game.......which without the help of an emulator and save states takes a lot of patience and lost lives. There's really no need for more lives or other difficulties with the game being so damn short.

I quess I`m going to have to find some more patience (I lack a lot), and try not to throw the controller at the screen, after all the games a great deal of fun, a bit of originality!

Chakan seems to be one of those games you either hate or tolerate.

Chakan seems to be one of those games you either hate or tolerate.I moved from mild dislike to tolerate to like within about 2 weeks, and after hearing about some of the storyline today i'm moving to thinking it's a great game :)

For me Chakan is very reminiscent of the first X-Men game.
If you like one of them, most probably you'll also like the other.

I love me some of that fire stage in Chakan.
It feels so damn fiery it seems he's always about to burst to flames.

Let's not forget Garfield: Caught in the act. First rate action game expect for the first level.
