So I've finally got a hankerin' to plug in the 32X that I acquired a couple months back, but I seem to be missing a cable or two. I have the power cord, but I'm missing whatever cables connect the 32X to the Genesis, or the 32X to the TV (whatever).

Would someone be so kind as to post a picture or something of the cables I need to set this thing up?

True. People buy entire Sega 32X packages just for that cable. Sega Parts used to sell them back in the day, but they haven't had them in a long, long while. :(

I shouldn't be too hard to make your own, just a short length of cable (like Cat-5) and 2 male Genesis 2 9-pin mini DIN plugs. (you miy be able to by these, or canabalize some Genesis 2 A/V cables, and some RF cables also work, though others are missing pins) A standard 8-pin mini din plug may work too as the 9th pin isn't one used for this connection.

If you've got a model 2 this is all you need, with a model 1 you originally would need the gen 2 mixing cable plus a M1 adaptor, however, if you're building your own, you can simply make a M1 to 32x cable in the first place. (with the Model 1's common 8-pin DIN and a Model 2 style 9-pin mini DIN, rather than 2 9-pin's)

See: http://sega-16.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6559&page=2

IIRC all you need to connect is the R, G, B, and sync.

R,G,B,Sync and audio signals need connecting.... Audio from MD goes to 32X in, and then to out. Ground should be connected too, though its already done. 5V is not something you wanna connect.
The 9pin mini DINs aren't exactly popular so getting some might be troublesome unless you go for salvaging route.

Is wiki wrong about the Gen/MD 2 using the common 9-pin mini DIN? If correct, the 8-pin mini DIN has the same pin-out (with the missing pin being the copmposite video), if that's more common it should solve the problem. (8-pin plug should work fine with 9-pin socket)

Can you use the headphone jack on the model 1, or does the 32x PWM only output through its a/v port? (leaving model 1+ 32x users stuck with mono Genesis audio without a special cable with a 1/8" phono plug connected to pins 8 & 9 on the mini DIN)
