I have a Sega CD now and I love it! I only have three games, but I like them all. The three games I have are Sewer Shark, Batman Returns, and Ground Zero Texas. I got everything complete including the system with all the parts and the box. :D How much do you like Sega CD and what are some good, inexpensive games for the system.

I like Sol-feace too, getting my copy to work was a pain in the ass tho.

I am not a big fan of RPG's and Snatcher is one of the most expensive games for the system along with The Space Adventure (Both digital comics). Rise of the Dragon sounds good. The games I may get next are Joe Montana Football, Double Switch, Prize Fighter, and Lawnmower Man (I like Ground Zero Texas, but I found it chaotic and Lawnmower Man is even rarer than Snatcher, but is not as sought after like Snatcher is). Batman Returns and Sewer Shark are not that bad either, but the driving levels in Batman Returns are difficult. I will see what I can do with Slam City (32X version with better video), Sonic CD, and either original Night Trap, or the 32X version.

The original, unrated version of Night Trap will set you back some coin. It's pretty rare.

It's not that rare. 50,000 copies or so where sold before, or so I've heard. It's just in demand, for some odd reason. The game is trash.

I've seen more uncut versions than the later released cut version. The CD32X is the most common version tho.

Joe Montana for the Sega CD is awful, it's very unplayable and that zooming effect in every 16-bit Sega football game ruins this game, it was fine on the Genesis, but it's overkill here.

Maybe I could make fun of Joe Montana if it is bad. It will be just like me making fun of Swordquest: Fireworld. The 32X version is the cheapest (and probably the best) version of the game. The original version does not have a whole lot missing anyways, but I may end up with both versions anyways. Maybe in ten years, the original version of GTA San Andreas will be having prices about the same as Night Trap even though the scene from what I have heard is hard to get to. I like FMV games for the cheesy B-movie acting and low production values. I got some good laughs out of Sewer Shark in the intro when Ghost spazes out at you.

The original ver. of GTA:SA won't be too hard to find, maybe expensive. Like 2 million copies where shipped, so...

If you hurry, GTA:SA is $24 used at EB. We don't trade them in anymore, though, so expect to see them on eBay a lot.

I recommend picking up the two Ecco games, as someone stated earlier...I've got both for both Genesis and Sega CD, and the Sega CD versions blow the Genesis versions away. For some reason, Ecco doesn't get much love these days...

I also HIGHLY recommend Rise of the Dragon and Panic!

Panic! is quite possibly my favorite Sega CD game so far...mainly because it's so zany. If you like zany humor, you'll totally dig this game. If you don't, you'll probably hate it. The gameplay is very simple, but there's a ton of it. Basically, you play as a little boy and his dog who have to just push buttons in order to keep a computer virus from taking over the world. Each time you push a button, there are two possibilities: you've selected a button that will take you to another screen/location, or you've selected a button that will perform a gag on the boy. The gags are hilarious, as are some of the locations. When you go into the menu, there's a map that shows all the possibilities. It's shaped like an upside-down pyramid, with many possibilities tapering down into the one possibility that will stop the virus. It keeps track of how many scenes you've seen, and how many gags you've triggered. I've never seen or played anything like it on any other platform, and I am constantly amazed that it saw a US release because it's just not the type of game that normally makes it here.

In case you can't tell already, I loves me some Panic!

Panic! truly is a one of a kind game... I made it rain poo, and then I blew up Buckingham Palace!

Panic! seems to have mixed reviews. Some people love this game while others despise it. I heard that a lot of the jokes are just toilet humor.

It's either a love or hate game. If you go in looking for subtle gameplay and highbrow humor, you'll hate it. Personally I love it because it is just so random and bizarre... my cup of tea! People who hate it usually try to make sense out of it.

That's the reason why I love the Sega CD. It has at least 1 game for everybody and almost none of the games are bad, they just appeal to a limited audience. Too bad so many of the games are hard to find cheap.
