Back in 1993, this game was announced for the Genesis, but many delays later, it just seemed to vanish. The last EGM issue I remember, promised a December 1994 release. Yet, nothing.
Can someone shed some light on what happened back then?

It's a crying shame, it should have been released.

Yeah, I remember reading previews and they talked about making a bunch of improvements to the game with the Genesis port. Pity it never happened.

There was a big exodus of Japanese third-parties from the Mega Drive to the Saturn (or to the Playstation, or both) when both consoles were released in Japan in late 1994. This might've been a victim of this. Seriously, try to think of how many Japanese-developed Genesis games were released in 1995 compared to U.S-developed games (which weren't as numerous as years before).
The gaming industry also went through a recession of sorts in the mid-'90's with the transition from 16-Bit consoles to 32-Bit consoles, and the American divisions of several Japanese companies went under, so this might've been a factor as well.

Oh that's right, in 1995 Taito America shut down. Perhaps it was they that were developing the port, and not the Japanese side of the company.
