I really like the color of this Saturn, much more than the final gray Japanese version that was released or the black U.S. version.

Looks neat. Sorta glad they stayed with the black color for the chasis, because if they used flame retardant chemicals like Nintendo with the SNES, the saturn would've turned piss yellow.

Goes to show that "Virtua Fighter" was through-and-through a rushed product, but at least it played close to if not exactly like the arcade.
I don't remember where I saw them, but on some website I saw magazine scans of very early versions of "Panzer Dragoon" (with what seemed to be a green, untextured dragon) and "Daytona USA" that looked like something out of a 32X game rather than a Saturn game.......perhaps they began life as 32X projects, or maybe they just looked that crappy at the beginning of their development.

Yeah could be. I thought I heard both games were considered for 32x before the plug was pulled.

That is really cool color, I really like the saturn and totally missed its hey day. I knew about it but had already n64 and PSX. Its cost always kept me away from it.

The funny and sad thing about the list of software third parties printed on the 2nd page is that it's only relevant to Japan. The 3rd parties who joined SEGA in the US is drastically smaller.
