How do you play this thing?

I got the ultra-rare (Even rarer than Snatcher) Lawnmower Man game for the Sega CD (Complete). The problem is that on the second part, there is some strange puzzle that I just don't get. In the manual, it says that the answer is provided, but I just can't make sense of it. If anybody even has this game or can get through this highly confusing puzzle, please let me know.

That game has nothing available for some sort of walkthrough. I think Melf might have this game (I saw the list of games that he needs to get and it is not on that list of games, which makes me assume that he has this game). Maybe he knows something about these puzzles.

Got me there bud. I don't have it, but I remember seeing that puzzle once, and that's where my friend and I got stuck. Couldn't find the solution anywhere. :(
