is it somewhat common for the power plug to be loose on the generation 2 genesis? (where it plugs into the console).

is this common? when i insert the power plug into the console, it is sort of loose, and the power goes on and off. the guy at the viddy game store said that was common. i'll need to tape the cord back or something to stop this from happening. you'd think they'd have fixed this for the generation 2 genesis :?

My Gen 2's power cord is pretty snug, no problems here.

My Genesis 2 has the issue where it is loose on the console end. I guess some systems are just like that.

My nomad had that problem also, kinda bif issue, since its hard to fix when those busses are broken, there arent those metal stickers that give it a better ground conection, overall conection.Hey why dont you go to the local electronic store to ask for those,or just wire that jack to the points that are in the same Railes. ;)

Sorry to bump an ages old topic, but I did some research concerning this issue. Lots of electronics have this same exact problem, so this applies to everything that has a loose AC adaptor.

Thankfully, the solution is simple, but it may be costly. If your AC adaptor is loose, it is bunk. So, you have to buy a new one. A long time ago I had this same exact issue with my Game Gear, which has the same connection, so this also applies. I had an AC Adaptor I used all of the time with my Game Gear, and it got wore out, so it became loose. I then tried another AC adaptor that was rarely used, and it worked great, so it was all smiles from there.
