sega cd backup ram cart question

I was wondering, will the us backup ram carts work with saving japanese games as well? I have a japanese mega cd as well as a us sega cd, but im just not sure if I need a jap ram cart for the mega cd or if I can use a us one.

I don't see why not. I know the Saturn ones do, so the Sega CD ones probably do as well.
