This seems like a relatively obscure genre for the MD, I've really only played Sonic Spinball and Psycho Pinball. Are there any others?

Yessir. Dragon's Fury, Dragon's Revenge, Crue Ball, Dino Land, and Virtual Pinball. Of those, Dragon's Fury is most worth your time, as it's a solid port of Devil's Crush/Devil Crash for the ol' TurboGrafx, which is one of if not the coolest video pinball games of all time. Dragon's Revenge is a rather bungled attempt at fantasy pinball, and it and Crue Ball suffer from sickeningly bouncy ball physics. Dino Land is plagued by atrociously choppy scrolling, but is actually a decent enough game. Virtual Pinball's kind of neat.. you can design all manner of absurd pinball tables, and the ball physics are actutally not bad, but it's quite a bland looking game.

I recommend Dragon's Fury. It's very challenging to beat all the bonus stages. To reach the last boss takes a long time though.

Dragon's Fury. I guess it's the same as Devil's Crush, which I played back in the day on the TG-16, 'tis the bomb.

Dragon's Fury is indeed pretty rockin'. Not as good as Devil's Crush for the TurboGrafx, but I'd still say it's the best pinball on Genesis. The ball feels.. heavier in Dragon's Fury than it does in Devil's Crush, and while a subtle change, I don't think it's for the better. The revamped bonus stages in Fury are totally awesome, though.

The Dragon games are pretty good, at least a lot better than those two you mentioned :)

I'll absolutely agree with Dragon's Fury. It's quite possible the most enjoyable video pinball game I've ever played. I want a copy of Dragon's Revenge, but I haven't been able to get my mitts on a good condition boxed copy of it yet. I normally don't mind if a game is cart only, but since I have a mint complete set for Dragon's Fury, I want a matching set for Dragon's Revenge.

Another one I'll recommend is Psycho Pinball. It's a EU release, and a friend in the UK hooked me up with a copy of it. It's a great one...for some reason, it reminds me of the game Extreme Pinball, which I have for PC. It also plays fine on my US Genesis system, so I suppose it's got no protections. It's well worth picking up if you're a pinball fanatic.
