Check it out.
Here's the main link to BonusJZ's thread about it.

I know some of you have probably played this demo already, it has been out for a while, yet I found no mention of it anywhere here. This is the most impressive Mod I have ever seen. The fact that it's being built to run on Dreamcast and Xbox has me really excited.
It's been 2 months since any word has been mentioned about it's progress although it's close to finished. Understandable since BonusJZ has just remade and dropped a completed Night Slashers X (http://lavalit.com:8080/index.php/topic,2841.0.html) on the scene.
Here it is in action:
<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/BrLBBGrFGkI&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/BrLBBGrFGkI&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
The only thing I disagree with is the initial intentional lack of heavy platforming action to focus on combat. This may be remedied in the final version though. It still 'feels' like Castlevania.
I ran into a few reoccurring bugs with the windows version, through linux. No surprise in that regard, but this guy deserves unconditional worship for what he has brought to the mod scene.
