Whilst we are a shop and not a fan site, we are a shop run by fans so hopefully that makes us worthy of a listing here!

www.GenkiVideoGames.com

We recently updated our range of desirable titles with a large batch of collectable Mega Drive (Genesis) games from Japan. If there's anything your after for your import collection, and its not on the site, please let us know.... We'd love to hear your feedback too as such grizzled, gaming veterans... :D

Looks nice. Do you accept US credit card payments? Or is this a Paypal only place?
EDIT: I answered my own question... you do accept US credit cards.

Also, do the games come complete? There are no pictures of the cartridge, manuals, etc and no description of the actual physical condition of the game (very important to me).

GenkiVideoGames.com

Aye, no worries on the cards as long as it belongs to you. :)
Basically all the games are in good condition unless something is mentioned in the game Info. This probably applies to a handful of games that could be described as faded due to too much sunlight. But like I say 99% are in good condition to the point you may wonder if their previous owner actually played them! God bless Japanese respect for property!
All games are complete unless marked in the title by 'No Box' (only Snow Brothers - of all the games to be unboxed!!! :D ), 'No Instructions' (maybe only mentioned in the info - I think this applies to only 2 of thousands of titles... One of them would be ) or 'Cart Only.' Again the vast majority of our games (98%) are complete. As collectors ourselves we only try to pick up complete and mint editions...
(For more info please check out http://www.genkivideogames.com/FrequentlyAskedQuestions.asp )
Should there be any specific titles you'd like to know about, please feel free to get in touch. ;)
Mille Grazie.

Awesome. Yes, I have purchased many used games from Japan and I swear they look like they just rolled off of the factory. Amazing. Here in the US we hate taking care of our property and it is very difficult to find things in good condition. What is it with us? UK seems more or less the same as the US in that regard.

I'll probably buy a game or two from your store soon. :)

Obviously

A lot of Genesis games are in poor condition because they've gone through the horrors of being originally owned and abused by children.

Is the Panorama Cotton or Gleylancer at all sunfaded?

GenkiVideoGames.com
01-16-2006, 06:30 PM
I'll never forget the look of disgust from the entire class when I was teaching in Japan for casually tossing my text book (believe me it deserved it!) onto the table! :? Still maybe there's an old proverb in Japan "you look after the text books and the copies of The Ooze look after themselves..." I doubt it though!
Games in the UK are abused to the point you'd think a hamster trying to hibernate had been at them for bedding. I blame the teachers... ;)
Panorama Cotton is the first time we've stocked it (and the only copy) so please have a look for yourself at the actual scans.... The same goes for Gleylancer (great bit of Japanese English! :) ) Besides I'm the only one in the office (again) and colourblind!
Panorama is complete with instructions (with a couple of very slight creases in the reverse) and the get a cup 'Campaign' form (unfortunately meaning it comes without the cup!)
Gleylancer also has a questionnaire, slighly creased from the clam shell as are the instructions. It also comes with Mega Soft Information Vol 6 and a Japanese health warning about not playing games for too long.
Hope this helps.

I ordered something. I assume you'll just use my billing address as my shipping address?

GenkiVideoGames.com
01-16-2006, 08:25 PM
Yes sir. :D Will get that shipped tomorrow as its way past mine and Postman Pat's bedtime!
Please email us on Sales@GenkiVideoGames.com if we can be of any further assistance. I don't want to test Ken's patience on this forum as the guy has been so damn funky with us so far. (Besides I'm getting my ass whipped with a wet towel over at Assembler too much! ) Maybe you'd be so kind as to pop back and let the forum members know how the transaction went..?
Mille grazie and oyasumi nasai.

Gee. Another import store that puts high prices on games that you later find out - once you go to Japan - are in every used game shop for a pittance.

Joe Redifer
01-17-2006, 07:06 PM
Yeah but the cost of a ticket to Japan - Wooeee! The prices are fairly typical compared to buying them straight from Japan, which I do often.

GenkiVideoGames.com
01-17-2006, 07:21 PM
Please, please let us know where you can find Alien Soldier, Vampire Killer, Pengo, Yu Yu Hakushow, Steel Empire, Contra, The Ooze or even Panorama Cotton for a pittance. The flight is booked, just send the address. This sounds like our big break! You don't have to tell us the address, just the area if these shops are two a penny like you say....

Obviously
01-17-2006, 07:49 PM
I don't understand importing games like the Contra, The Ooze or Steel Empire that are domestically common and inexpensive (Hell, Contra isn't rare in Japan either, neither is Steel Empire). I don't like the idea of paying an arm and a leg for a game that'll possibly be mostly in Japanese and ultimately not worth the price if anything at all changed which usually isn't the case with Mega Drive games.

GenkiVideoGames.com
01-17-2006, 08:14 PM
Sure thing man. Each to his own. It is the low production runs that often makes a game collectable and the relative lack of 16Bit Success for Sega in Japan ensured quite a few titles fit that criteria (especially The Ooze that you mentioned is relatively worthless in Japan.) Some people just can't resist the subtle box art of Japanese titles. However almost all of our Mega Drive range are perfectly playable without Japanese skills as our team can vouch! :) But collecting to this degree isn't for everyone...

Joe Redifer
01-17-2006, 09:44 PM
You should see how much Batman Forever goes for in Japan. Yes, the crappy Acclaim game. OUCH! The games goes for about $2 over here, but I've seen it upwards of $300 in Japan because it is so rare.

Obviously
01-17-2006, 09:45 PM
Sheesh... maybe I should sell mine in Japan then.

GenkiVideoGames.com
01-18-2006, 04:59 PM
Unfortunately only the Japanese version of Batman can reach such highs in Japan.... Though if you found a sympathetic back street dealer, they may give you 1,000 Yen for it... :)

Chris Marsh
01-19-2006, 08:24 PM
I am not a big fan of imported games (Mainly because they consist as just a bunch of turn-based RPG's (Except for Zero Wing and Alien Soldier)). These two games might be pretty good.

Obviously
01-19-2006, 08:46 PM
Zero Wing is mediocre. The PAL version is the only one worth having thanks to the infamous engrish, there's no point in getting the Japanese one.

Joe Redifer
01-19-2006, 08:48 PM
I like Zero Wing. Great music! The Japanese version is the one I rented and that is the one I own. CHEAP!

GenkiVideoGames.com
01-20-2006, 06:08 AM
I was shocked how much attention Zero Wing got on the net. Maybe the marketing executives put it in to stir up publicity... But having lived in Japan, I doubt it. :) Alien Soldier is a cracker, but I've always wondered why they did away with anything other than bosses? Was it a parting present to the Mega Drive masses or was the project hurried along before the system's demise...? I guess we'll never know. I really wish we could rent Japanese games in the UK... ;)

Joe Redifer
01-20-2006, 02:39 PM
Well the store I rented Japanese Megadrive games (as well as Japanese games for other systems) was the GameFan of game stores (ie: suited to hardcore gamers). Unfortunately the owners got a divorce from each other and the store went away, pissing me off in the process. Ah how I remember renting Castlevania IV before it came out in the US. I knew right then and there it would be the best game ever made for the Super Nintendo... and it was!

GenkiVideoGames.com
01-20-2006, 03:05 PM
Shame you didn't have a few over due rentals when they decided to call it a day. I wonder who got custody of Pengo and if the Snow Bros. were split up too? :)

Obviously

If you know Treasure you know it's not strange for them to make a game entirely composed of bosses because it's exactly something that they'd do.

Joe Redifer
01-20-2006, 06:11 PM
They shaved the Japanese game cartridges down so they would fit into the US Genesis cartridge slots. They didn't rent the games out with the real boxes so they would have been loose with the manual. I have a Curse that was filed down not for rental, but they did that with ALL Mega Drive games they sold at first. Fortunately I got it for about $5 complete (but shaved). I am still trying to replace just the cartridge for Curse but I lost an auction which had it because I didn't want to spend more than $5.

GenkiVideoGames.com
01-20-2006, 09:51 PM
Ah, yes the Treasure of now. But wasn't that the first time they had gone quite so hardcore featuring boss after boss after boss?
Those were the days when you could innocently shave down a Genesis cart without thinking about the fall in collectability value! Curse isn't really a top bracket title in Japan from what we can gather, but it does weigh in for more than $5 unfortunately, at least with box. I'll tell our buyer to keep an eye out for a 500 Yen loose one though: it should be common enough! Unshaven we take it... :)

Joe Redifer
01-20-2006, 10:01 PM
Yeah loose is good. Unshaven definitely, but I don't want one with a full beard either. OK bad joke. Really bad.

GenkiVideoGames.com
01-20-2006, 10:08 PM
Sure thing man. :)
If you are ordering anything again in the future let me see what mood the boss is in and hopefully we could tuck you in a copy of the Curse as 'service.' (It has beautiful box art if I'm thinking of the right mo fo.) Then you could keep your shaven raver copy as a lesson to future generations: playing games is far more important than collecting them. Until they become collectable. :D

Joe Redifer
01-22-2006, 06:01 AM
Sweet! I'll probably take you up on that. Gotta complete my collection and there are still a few gems I need to get that you seem to have.

Haven't received Gay Lancer yet, not sure when I should expect it but I imagine it will probably show up fairly soon. :D

GenkiVideoGames.com
01-22-2006, 06:31 AM
Yeah man, should be with you very shortly.
Is there a big scene for Japanese Genesis titles? I guess the high value of the carts in Japan would push out a lot of casual gamers and more it more to the hardcore, collectors scene. But I love the box art even for titles like Curse that are fairly common. I've never understood the need to replace the original box art with a bastardised Western version, but I suppose you do get the odd duffer even in Japan. :)

Joe Redifer
01-22-2006, 02:30 PM
The Curse artwork is so bizarre, that's why I like it. Likely the Westernized version would have been redone into a crapily drawn version of a spaceship.

As for the shipping I've waited much longer for stuff from Europe (like the SCART cables in that other thread) so no biggie!

GenkiVideoGames.com
01-22-2006, 02:53 PM
Yeah sometimes we wonder if shiitake are the only mushrooms prevalent in Japan. :) I wonder how much truth there is in the belief that Japanese art doesn't sell games in the West... Still the situation these days is far better for domestic releases at least here in the UK.

Joe Redifer
01-22-2006, 03:22 PM
I have a hard time buying the idea of "Gamers don't relate to Japanese box art so we need to change it so that Strider looks like a middle-aged Bruce Willis!" Yes, that's what companies actually think, BUT then you plug in the game and turn it on and what do you see? Japanese art from beginning to end. Where's Bruce Willis? Why didn't they bother changing all of those graphics to something that we westerners would most definitely approve of?

Box art is kind of a sensitive topic for me. It has no bearing on whether I purchase a game or not, but to me it seems cheaper and quicker to use the existing Japanese art in most cases. The mind boggles.

Now granted there is some AWFUL Japanese box art. Phantasy Star 2 comes to mind as does Elemental Master and Devil Crash. They made sure to redo the Phantasy Star 2 box art for the US, but they made sure that it was still awful.

GenkiVideoGames.com
01-22-2006, 04:55 PM
Is the situation any better in the States these days or do you not really bother with domestic software? I've always found it peverse that you can wait so long for a domestic releases here in Europe and it is put down to localisation. I mean fair enough translation takes time, but no one ever asked for a dodgy fantasy poster style box picture the like you'd find in Sadam's stately palace. :)
Yeah you do get some sh*te Japanese box art too, but that shop that sells Western games in Akihabara always looks crude amongst all those Japan only shops. I wonder what the Japanese would make of our game shops with their ugly boxes?

Obviously
01-22-2006, 06:03 PM
Considering anime is huge in the States now, the box art never/rarely changes and if it does it's minor. Back in the days of 8 and 16 bit only a few college students with fan made subtitled VHS tapes knew anything about anime.

GenkiVideoGames.com
01-23-2006, 04:11 AM
Yeah, it definitely seems that an increase in popularity of anime has helped avoid too much box art censorship these days.

Joe Redifer
01-23-2006, 08:45 PM
Well I received Gleylancer earlier today and it was packed extremely well and arrived in great condition! Game works great and so far it is really fun. I bet I can beat it. Wheee!

GenkiVideoGames.com
01-24-2006, 05:56 AM
That's great news. :D It always gives us a buzz to help a fellow collector get a title they have ben searching for. And with sourcing our stock direct from Japan, hopefully you'll agree the condition of the game is good too.
We admire your bravado having sampled the earlier levels, but wish you good luck with the later ones. Personally sufffering from sweaty palm syndrome always hindered my chances (any excuse!) :) Anyway enjoy the ride. ;)

Joe Redifer
01-26-2006, 09:24 PM
You guys don't happen to know of an adapter that lets the smaller DUO type controllers work on the old giant TURBOGRAFX systems do you? I've been searching high and low but still haven't come up with a way to use a 6-button controller on the TurboGrafx-16 (which has the 8 pin giant DIN for a controller port, similar to the Mega Drive 1 A/V output jack). I assume they had something like this in Japan at one point, they had to have.

GenkiVideoGames.com
01-27-2006, 04:17 AM
Wow good question. You would think there would be something, but we have never come across anything I'm sorry to say. I mean you'd need the pad to play SFII... Sorry chief you've got me there. Hopefully someone else out there will come to the rescue... Did you ever manage to pick up a convertor for your Turbo Grafx to be able to play PC Engine titles?

Joe Redifer
01-27-2006, 06:40 AM
Oh yeah and I can even play SF2 with a 2-button pad. I have a 6-button pad and I'm gonna attempt some surgery. I must try!

I fail to understand why they changed their whole control connector. Then they took that connector and put it on the back of their system and used it as their A/V connector (while still denying RGB output).

GenkiVideoGames.com
01-27-2006, 07:33 AM
Mate - we have enough trouble working out what Sega got up to without losing sleep over NEC!
I'm sure you'll be able to get on a game show playing SFII with two buttons. That's something I'd love to see! :) Been playing the saucy Strip Fighter II recently which has surprisingly good play mechanics. That's the only reason we play, honest! ;)

Thanks very much for the order. Hopefully you already have the confirmation of delivery address and tracking emails as your order was dispatched yesterday. Maybe you'd be so kind as to visit the Trader Feedback thread when your order arrives?
Oh aye, we'd love to hear from members of the forum on games they're looking for. Its especially rewarding as not only do we have the privilige of helping complete collections of the fine folk who inhabit this forum, but the site is also enriched by the cracking titles needed. We don't claim to know every game going, so its always very exciting to make a new discovery on the Mega Drive (Genesis sorry!) And we have some good contacts in Japan so hopefully we'll get the game pretty sharpish.

I received the tracking info about a day after I ordered the games so it worked out :) still waiting on them but ill let you know when I get them. id be glad to leave you feedback at the feedback forum when the games arrive, you carry alot of games that ive been searching for for a very long time now. I was wondering if bari arm for mega cd was still available? theres a few more games im looking for also but the names have slipped my mind at the moment.. I was also really thinking about buying crude buster for megadrive from you, is that a good game?

GenkiVideoGames.com
04-27-2006, 12:20 PM
Yeah, unfortunately we can offer next day delivery in the UK, but not the US. Until we set up a branch there. Still it is quite snappy airmail. Thanks for the offer of feedback. Its nice to know you approve of our choice cuts. Being collectors ourselves its often easy to let the heart rule the business head so I'm glad you approve. Bari Arm is available if you want to drop us a line, though that particular consignment mentioned above hasn't arrived yet. Crude Buster is a fine title in my humble opinion, but the good guys who run this site offer far finer prose than us - though perhaps equally rose tinted.... Maybe you could get a second opinion?
Happy gaming.

im perfectly fine with waiting for the games to come by airmail. i'll definately purchase bari arm once it is listed on the site. theres quite a few games id like to purchase on the site still, but I wont be able to get to that until later in the day. I think I probly will end up getting crude buster since im a big fan of beat em up games that play like final fight or streets of rage. do you know if any more game gear games will be available? im looking for any of the yu yu hakusho games for game gear but I havent seen any even on ebay or anywhere. do you know if you guys might possibly stock used import game systems in the future or controllers for the older systems? I mean stuff like megadrive consoles, saturn. that type of stuff? ive been needing to get a megadrive model 1 for a while now since ive just been gathering games for it but dont have the system yet. I have a mega cd model 1 though, but cant use it until I get a hold of a japanese megadrive 1.

It won't work with a US Genesis? I thought it would. I'm pretty sure I've seen it run connected to a US Genesis, but maybe I am wii-tarded.

I tried it connected to a us sega genesis but it would just power on then turn off. I asked the seller on ebay that I got it from about it and they said that it was tested out before being shipped with a megadrive1 and that it wouldnt work with a genesis 1. im really hoping the mega cd 1 I have isnt messed up, according to the seller I got it from it wasnt. but I need to get a megadrive 1 anyway since ive got a few megadrive games that have the region lock, hopefully once I get a hold of one the mega cd 1 works or im gonna be kinda bummed since it cost me quite a bit of money.

Hopefully it works. The Japanese Mega CD has lots more blinky lights than the US version.

I agree, theres alot more detail on the japanese mega cd 1 then the us sega cd 1. I just hope the used one I have actually works, because I have a few decent japanese games for it that id like to play soon.

peter, I ordered a few more games from your site today. I just couldnt resist ordering crude buster.

Sorry - must have missed the notifications...
Thanks for the order. I personally like Crude Buster as its not really the sort of game thats made anymore with the dystopic, post-apocolyptic feel to it. So hopefully you'll enjoy it too. We'll drop you an email when Bari Arm comes back in stock. We can get quite a range of Game Gear games and there are some very nice looking mini versions of popular series. To be honest though we were just going to see how popular the machine proves to be. I think the most desirable title is Panzer Dragoon on the GameGear, but if there are any games other than Yu Yu Hakusho we can track down for you, please let us know.
Funny you should ask about the systems as we have some Saturn's arriving this week (hopefully) and a Mega Drive, all boxed with instructions. We also have a few accessories on order: Saturn, PCE and MD multitaps, joypads, fishing controllers, DC maracas etc. Let us know if there's anything in particular... Not too sure about the Genesis connectability problem, but if our Joe don't know... Sorry, we've never stocked the Genesis but I'm sure one of the guys in this spiffing forum will know.
Thanks again.

I think i'll most likely enjoy crude buster, I really like playing the old 2d beat em ups, and the overall setting of the game looks pretty cool from what ive seen in the screenshots, its a shame that there arnt really beat em up games anymore with that post apocolyptic feel to them. thanks for letting me know about bari arm, ill definately buy a copy when more arrive. im actually not really sure what else im looking for for japanese gamegear because ive hardly seen any of the games so I dont really know whats out there for it, but I may buy some more from you just to try out some more gamegear games I have never tried. how much are the saturns and megadrive that are arriving? im probly going to order a few more games off your site today, I was thinking of getting crows: the battle action for sega saturn. I left you feedback in the feedback forum today. and I just wanted to let you know that I received the first few games I ordered, their all in excellent shape. ive only got a chance to play steamgear mash so far though but its a great game and a worthy purchase. do you know when the sega saturn game: nekketsu oyako, will be back in stock? i also wanted to purchase that but its sold out.

Yeah, those games had a nice feel to them as the developers often went out of their way to distinguish the title from the others in a graphical sense as gameplay didn't vary too much.
To be honest theres alot on the Game Gear we have yet to sample here. It was never too much of an import machine as it was well supported in the UK by Sega Europe. But there are a few interesting looking titles... Hopefully we'll be able to increase the section with some support as it remains quite humble...!
The Saturn's will be £49.99 and the Mega Drives £59.99 all boxed and with instructions (by the time they have been shipped and cleared customs here in the UK....) Shipping of consoles to N. America is by EMS so its pretty snappy.
Thanks for the feedback. It is much appreciated. We're really pleased everything went smoothly. Hope you like your selection, but I don't think you'll be disappointed with those choice cuts. Crows is also a cracker if you like a bit of Japanese off beat quirkiness, so thanks for the order.
Nekketsu Oyako should be back on the site in a couple of weeks. If tyou click on Backorder you can enter you're email address so we can email you as soon as an out of stock title becomes available...
If we can help with anything else, please let me know (though a few of the notifications seem to be going a wee bit astray...)
Thanks!

I received my second order of games yesterday, their all really good. im especially enjoying crude buster. although it is a bit tough considering theres no health bar to show how much life you have left, still getting used to that. your welcome about the feedback, ill be updating the feedback shortly. I pretty much enjoyed all the games, dezaemon 2 was especially entertaining because of being able to customize the shooters. magical hoppers was pretty decent too as was viruta fighter mini for game gear. street fighter zero was also how I remember it in the arcades. im looking forward to playing crows when it arrives, ive been wanting to try that for about a year now. im thinking about ordering a few more saturn games once some of the ones I liked on the site are back in stock. lately ive just been pretty into playing sega saturn. how much would the shipping be to the us for the boxed megadrive your getting in stock?

Great to hear from you and that the games all arrived safely. Yeah - sometimes takes a bit of getting used to the old school mechanics. I think games these days have made me go soft! Dezaemon is a great concept, something you wouldn't really expect on a console so I'm glad you're appreciating it. Thanks again for the feedback as it means alot to us - especially if its taking you away from valuable gaming! Hopefully Crows will be with you soon and you're in for a real treat...
Not exactly sure on the shipping weight of a Mega Drive but it'll be around the same as an N64 I'd imagine which is £23.50 via EMS courier to the States.

All those games mentioned have arrived now and Bari Arm is there...
Anything else you know where we are!
Thanks now.

I received crows in the mail yesterday. what a great game, I really enjoyed it and think it deserved a sequel. but also crude buster deserved a sequel as well back then. I thought some of the parts of the game were pretty funny, like being able to beat up drunks, cops, or even punch a civilian or two from the background, that itself makes crows pretty entertaining. I think its in the second level in the park part, theres a guy and his girl sitting on benches and if you punch the guy then they both run away, did you notice that part? it was pretty funny. theres not enough games around like that. the style of it reminds me alot of the nes game "river city ransom". thanks for letting me know about bari arm being back instock, ill be ordering it very soon. do you know if nekketsu oyako will be back in stock in the next few weeks?

GenkiVideoGames.com

Really pleased you like Crows. I agree we need more games like that which don't take themselves too seriously. There's Ane san on the PC Engine that's in a similar mode and River City Ransom was from the series of games starring Kunio.

http://www.genkivideogames.com/SearchEngineGenki.asp?keywordtext=kunio

He's really big still in Japan and most of the games command quite a premium. Not sure there was much of his stuff released post 16 Bit though, but there's some good info on the Hardcore Gaming site linked through our site.
(Not quite up to Sega 16 standards of course though...)
Nekketsu Oyako is due with us by Friday all being well. Will drop you a mail as soon as it arrives using the backorder function.
Thanks for the order and happy gaming!

Greetings, Long time no see.
Just thought I’d post a sneak preview of the latest additions to the site: Densha De GO! 2 for the N64 adds another facet to this supreme series with a microphone - just don't let the neighbours see you playing it. Bubble Bobble DS and Super Mario 64 DS demonstrate the power of the little handheld known as the DS. The PSX starts throwing its weight around with King of Fighters, Bushido Blade 2 delivers the cold edge of steel and the saucy Advanced VG 2 gets fruity. Not half as tasty as the morsels on offer in the bizarre Manpuku Nabe Kazoku of the gourmet genre with plenty of bargains to be had on the Saturn. The PS2 gets all nostalgic with a cracking conversion of whip wielding, arcade antics in Akumajo Dracula. A delightful treat for PSP owners in the form of Ooedo Senryobako packed full of Eastern promise. Recent highlights also include close encounters of the crustacean kind in Darius R on the GBA, the ultra rare anime antics of Silky Lip on the Mega CD, mighty fine old school fun on the Mega Drive with Mickey Mouse, Strider and Golden Axe II. Cool Cool Jam on the Neo Geo Pocket Color puts the rhythm back in your stride with the Dreamcast Link Cable available too.. The SFC shows its strength in depth with Sumo, shmups and the eternal Super Mario Kart. This month also sees a wealth of restocks on the DC & Mega Drive. Plus some fine pieces of hardware too: the eternal Super Famicom with a plethora of import only classics, the Neo Geo AES - a Rolls Royce amongst consoles and the PSone - a great way to discover import gaming with many titles often far cheaper than the Saturn. Finally the Pia Carrot series gets immortalised in these stunning Kotobukiya styled figurines. More to come soon...
Thanks to your feedback a new advanced search engine has been added to the site hopefully making it a bit easier to find that rare retro release. The Hardware Section has been divided up into manufactures too. Any comments always appreciated…

Greetings. Just a wee update for those with an eye for an import bargain on what’s new on the site. Getting things moving with the marvellous technical achievement of Wolfenstein 3D on the Super Famicom along with the extreme visual and aural delight of Actraiser. Retina ruining shmup action dominates the PS2 scene with three instalments of the delightful Psyvariar series not giving you time to blink. The PC Engine quietly gets on with its processing prowess proving you can’t judge a console by its modest white cover: Gradius II and Super Raiden for the grizzled shooter vet, Adventure Island and Takeda Shingen for the action old hand. More undiscovered gems on the PSX proving it can rival even the Saturn for classic capers if you look in the right places in the wonderous and wacky Cooking Fighter Hao. Coin – op high jinx abound in the slick Sega converion of Crazy Taxi on the Dreamcast. The eternally youthful Sega Saturn continues to delight with a deluge of classic 2D titles both Ram Cart fortified fight fests and old school shmups with solid mechanics. Fist of the North Star’s Kenshiro is a peach of a discovery in its post – apocalyptic Mega Drive world with the friendlier faces of Sparkster and Dynamite Heddy giving a more light hearted diversion. Not forgetting our top boffins have also been hard at work on a new advanced search engine making it a bit easier to find that rare, retro release. Thanks again for all the support – you’re opinions are invaluable to us. Enjoy…

Greetings!
At last the Animal Crossing Figures are back in stock. Apologies for the delays - Bandai and Tomy's merger has meant they are no longer in production and hard to find. Other new additions to the site include King of Fighters bashing a few skulls together on the DC in the legendary SNK/Playmore style plus GigaWing 2 and Shikigami no Shiro II Limited Edition. Master Karateka on the GameBoy is a lesson in old school design mechanics with some fluid animation and rock hard challenge. Virtua Fighter Mini and Ristar look sublime on the Game Gear screen whilst Valis III on the Mega Drive is packed with nostalgia of the golden 16Bit era of gaming. Plus its always nice to welcome Panorama Cotton back in. Viewtiful Joe shows what a cracking character he is with some sterlingly heroic performances on the DS, PS2 and GameCube. The ever popular DC/NGPC Link Up Cable is back in while stocks last. The Sumo and Samurai Spirits IV leave no time to heal blistered thumbs with their nimble fingered joypad manoeuvres and good old fashioned button bashing gameplay on the PSX. Geppy X, Sexy Paraodius and Panzer Bandit prove what real gamer titles are out there on the Playstation if you look hard enough. Shooting Love Trizeal, Gitaroo Man Wan, Shikigami no Shiro II Limited Edition and Vib Ripple prove the PS2 has a hardcore interior if you get past the mass market exterior with these delightful works of programming prowess. The DC X helps Dreamcast owners enjoy a wealth of import exclusives whilst the Virtua Cop Gun Controller Pack is back on the Saturn complete with jet black gun to match the jet black Reservoir Dogs style suits. Always good to have Princess Crown, Sengoku Blade and Dungeons & Dragons in too of course. Coryoon, Sylphia and 1941 see that PC Engine fans don’t go shmup hungry. Segata Sanshiro gets his fine tracks in the Soundtracks section and proves impossible not to sing along with his crooning.
Finally we are proud to add a Customer Requests facility to our menu allowing you to request titles not currently on the site.
We look forward to more of your favourite import suggestions, thanks for your support and happy gaming.
