I looked over the master list of 32X games, and for one reason or another I've narrowed it down to this:

Want to Get:
Knuckles Chaotix ($10 locally)
Star Wars Arcade ($5)
Virtua Fighter ($5)

Maybe:
Tempo
Kolibri

But after that I'm pretty much willing to close up shop as far as the 32X goes. What do you think of this 'plan'?

If you like Star Wars Arcade, you'll probably like Shadow Squadron. I say go with Tempo and Kolibri, as well as the stellar Afterburner and Space Harrier ports and call it a day.

Kolibri is great if you liked ecco. After Burner and Space Harrier where great ports that are must owns.

Here's what I have left:

Knuckles Chaotix
Virtua Fighter
Tempo
Space Harrier
Zaxxon's Motherbase 2000

And I'll be done with the 32X. I'm done with the Sega CD, and the Genesis is next, and when I get a new job or I decide to spend money... I'll be completing my Saturn and Dreamcast collection.

I have a lot of Dreamcast games left to buy so I'm doing the Saturn first as it's a lot more expensive, and I'm making good "progress".

I didn't think Doom was too bad, myself.

Before I had a computer I thought the 32X version was great, but now that I have a computer, it's pants. I do have fond memories, so I can't force myself to sell it. :(

Any computer can run doom, and you can easily find the PC version online.

32X Doom is a fine PC port but considering it was cut down to fifteen levels and there's high res PC versions now it's really only necessary for collectors. The music for the 32X version is really washed out sounding as well, and just plain off key and terrible sometimes. It's dirt cheap at least.

I bought it out of nostalgia because 32X Doom was the first time I played Doom other than on a computer with a black and white monitor and no sound.

Doom for the 32X is the most common 32X game out there. It really is. I see a hundred dooms for every good 32X game, like they exist.

Doom was once the pack-in game for the 32X, IIRC.

Kolibri pisses me off. I can't get anywhere in it. Yes, I know about the level select. I am just at a loss at how to play th game and I've owned it forever, complete. Maybe I should allow the power to remain on for more than 45 seconds?

I just went to the plants and shooted around really.

There's a plant where nector comes out, go there and sit tight for a second and then you'll go to the next level.

I was reading some reviews on GameFAQs, and everybody pans every 32X game out there except for Virtua Fighter. What's going on? Are they all really that bad?

And I thought you hated Tempo, Melf. The review here gives it a 3, right?

HAHAHAHAHAHA! You know that game shop that I was talking about? The suckers! They're charging pittances for mint games! I hate to gloat, but right now I'm in heaven. Just picked up a never-before-played and totally complete Shadow Squadron for $1 US.

An excellent game, but it makes me ask - are there Game Genie codes for the 32X?

They've got pretty much all of the 32X games made but for Tempo, Kolibri, T-Mek, DarXide, and Spiderman.

Nope, you can't use a Game Genie with a 32X, nor was one released.

Damn, I'm missing Tempo, Knuckles Chaotix,Virtua Fighter, Space Harrier, Zaxxon's Motherbase 2000, esp cheap. I don't care if they are loose, but I'd like a manual for Virtua Fighter. Maybe you can hook me up, and I'll paypal you or something. I'm so close I can taste it...

Pick me up some complete games Genesis Knight and I will reimurse you and even give you an extra $1! Lots of Quarterback Clubs and NBA Jams would be good (complete 32X only.. yes.. a lot of those two games). I am missing Shadow Squadron, the wrestling games, Metal Head, Zaxxon, Tempo and Spiderman. All must be complete or there will be great pain.

There are Game Genie codes for 32X games, but they don't work on a real system, only an emulator.

I think they work with the Tototek flash cart, the game genie codes that is. I know those damn Quarterback Clubs and NBA Jams are elusive... complete that is. I have a Quarterback Club cart and I want to burn the game because it sucks. It's cart only, but still it bites. You'll find them on ebay or else where complete and in good condition in the future for pennies.

Since you want complete, then I can't help you. The only other complete there is Star Wars Arcade, which you don't specify. The rest are box only, or manual only. And they don't even have Spiderman. Sorry

David J, I sent you a PM.
