View Full Version : Reader Roundtable Vol. 3
February's here! Time for flowers, hearts, candy, and another installment (http://www.sega-16.com/Feature-%20Readers%20Roundtable%203.htm) of Reader Roundtable! See what your fellow Sega-16 readers are playing and maybe find some gems you didn't know about (or some stinkers you should avoid).

Awesome stuff. And great use of avatars.

The Shining Force duders certainly are a cool bunch.
There was a neat selection of reviews for this one. Stimpy's Invention.. I've been meaning to check that one out. I once owned both Veediots and Time Machine for the SNES.. fun games in their own right, specifically Time Machine. The Ren & Stimpy feel translates really well into video game form.

I really liked Ren and Stimpy on Genesis. I thought it was better than the SNES game -- which I recall as a bitch control-wise -- by quite a bit.
Can't say much more than that, simply because I haven't played either game since 1994.

Which SNES game are you talking about? I didn't really like Veediots, but Fire Dogs was rather good IMO.

Blarg, Fire Dogs.. rented that back in the day, and was very underwhelmed.
Buckaroos is also pretty dull, but I do think Veediots and Time Warp are solid enough.
None of the above games have buttery, dream-state control, so any of them could be the one 16bitter's talking about.

Wow, great job guys.
And if you need people for the fourth reader roundtable, I really want to be in it!
You're always welcome to join whenever you like. The more the merrier! :)

Definitely the more the merrier. Small capsule reviews are fun, even if a single game has more than one person talking about it.

I'm considering volunteering myself out as well. As soon as I find a decent Genesis game that I feel like playing that is.

^ Hell, you could just do one for Shining Force. Churning through the SF titles would give you ammunition for a handful of Reader Roundtables to come.

Now there's a thought.

Now here's a worse thought: churn through all the Genesis Madden games, and have enough ammunition for Reader Roundtables well into autumn. :P

I wonder if there is anyone out there who genuinely considers Madden '94 through '98 to be their top five games of all time, and in a scrambled order no less.
That would amuse me.
