SegaSaturno (http://www.segasaturno.com/portal/index.php) has started a prototype games section and it's getting into acquiring and leaking game protos for Sega systems, mostly concerning unreleased games.
Along with research and documenting prototypes (mostly in Spanish language), this is the most interesting stuff SegaSaturno has to offer within the matter, and it's starting with a countdown that will unveil... a Virtua Hamster playable prototype.
As a sneak peek, there's this footage video SegaSaturno has lent to X-Cult to promote the thing:

Keep an eye on the website releases, since there's more to come from now on.

What exactly are we talking about? Unreleased 32x games or Saturn games?

Unreleased games for multiple Sega systems, that's the intention. The trend is starting with a 32X proto, this one.
Turns out the website is called "SegaSaturno" and portrays a Sega Saturn oriented design and primary focus. That's why I went and added the Saturn icon to this thread. :D

Sega 32X: Virtua Hampster... Nothing to get excited about then! It's like a really poor 3D rendered version of the Sonic 2 Special Stages....

HAMSTER! There is no "p" in there!

So they're going to release even more? I take it then these will likely all come from DreamTR's list. Can't wait to someday see it completely picked off of :p

none of the videos work :(
things worked fine on this side....
There does not seem to be too much going on in that game, but the (probably GEMS) music is kinda nice :)

we all FAIL :?
no no "P", but there is an "L"...

There's no "L" in the actual title of this proto. It's "Virtua Hamster", and the game is refered that way in most of its mentions and representations (including an identical coverart with the Virtua branding). The designer plan was actually following the trend of Virtua Racing and Virtua Fighter.
That must be an alternate cover just in case they had to drop the "Virtua" label, since the Japanese side of Sega wasn't very excited about this title portraying it.
Release coming in a few hours. :)

The game looks boring, but I am still glad it is leaked.
It's good it's called "Virtual", not "Virtua". It's kinda awkward AM2 haven't fixed that typo in the ~15 years they've had that fighting franchise.

I don't think adding a "P" to any word counts as dyslexia. But it's true, as they say, "we're only human." However, I am not. I'm actually a very literate Alien, myself.

nice to see protype stuffs for the 32x but the hamster's legs dont even move, i assume this is bacause its unfinished i certainly hope they intended to put that in... i can see the game getting very moring very quickly! its certainly wouldnt have boosted the 32x's sales.
edit:
just had a little play on the rom graphics seem quite tight considering its for the 32x nice vibrant colours, sounds no half bad. its very basic but still nice to get your hands on something we were never meant to see :) i wonder if anyone can burn the rom and try it on the real hardware?

Just in case you downloaded this already, re-download again and replace it, as it mistakingly had an underdumped ROM. The reuploaded release now features the correct sized ROM (with some additional graphic interface details).
