I really like the red buttons on the PAL and Japanese Model 2 systems, and I was wondering how would I paint them?

Silly question I know, but I don't want the paint to dissapair after a while, and to make sure I've done it right.

Sorry if this is a bit late but after you've painted the buttons apply a few coats of clear varnish. Just wait until every application of paint & varnish is totaly dry of course.

Get a PAL Megadrive, open them up, remove the buttons, put them in your US Genesis. Throw PAL Megadrive in the trash where it belongs. The end.

Personally I like the blue buttons of the Japanese Megadrives. I think of all the Sega 16-bit systems, the PAL Megadrive 1 looks the worst with the nasty white label by the power LED. Ug.

Ugly as sin!

I looked at the Model 2 Sega CD, opened it up, and I'm too lazy to paint the buttons. I don't have a Model 2 Genesis yet, so nope, not yet.

The PAL MD is a lot more beautiful than the Genesis. You don't want that ugly "Genesis" logo on your console, the "Mega Drive" font and - of course - name (in the right corner) is a lot better. And white power label is superior to red, since the power lamp itself is red, its easier to see if the power is on or off.

Yeah, the Genesis logo has always been pretty bad. I do not like the PAL Mega Drive font, the Japanese font is much better. The only thing I really don't like about the Japanese Mega Drive is the giant "16-BIT" logo which is bigger than my house. The white power label on the PAL Mega Drive makes it look generic.
