I've had my eye on this for a while. I have the psone lcd and some experience building arcade cabinets. I just dont know if I want to dismantle that beautiful little screen. This cabinet is awesome although I would have gone with a thinner joystick.....

Nice!

I just checked out the Neo Geo cab. I like the lit marquee.

Looks nice, except for the buttons and that there's only 3 of them and a Start button. No mode, X, Y, or Z? How will I play Street Fighter and Eternal Champions?

That's really cool. I wonder how he did it. Probably has a model 3 in there.

Wow, how amazingly original and cool!

I saw the Neo Geo MVS one a couple days ago but had no idea he made a Genny and PC Engine as well. Excellent job, wish I could read Spanish.

Those are wicked! I would so buy one of those!

I wonder what the cheapest LCD screen you could get is. He used PSOne screens witch are good and have composite input but are a little hard to find and sometimes pricey. I bet someone sells a cheap screen that doesn't even have a real shell or casing. You know meant for custom installs. Something that's just the LCD panel, a sealed backlight, power source and a composite input. If anyone knows of who or where to get the cheapest screen like that let us know.

there's always this:

PSP replacement screen, though I believe it is RGB and lord knows what the pinout is.

You could also try finding someone with one of those retarded LCD picture frame things that scroll through digital camera photos since most people use them about a week and go "this is a waste of electricity" and throw them in a drawer.

A close-out portable DVD player may also work, I have one with a composite input (bought it specifically to be a portable TV for video game systems, thank god because there would've been NO WAY to mod my XBOX since all of the TVs are in other rooms.)

I think the reason people go with PSOne screens is because they actually are about the cheapest for the given quality, have composite inputs from the get go, and aren't really useful for much else since PSOne has long dropped off in popularity and anyone with even a mediocre understanding of how to mod a PSP and make EBOOTS has no need for a PSOne+screen.

the screen has to have a controller with it, or a internal one, and just 2 or 3 wires for power and 1 to 5 wires for video signal(s).

There is also a cheap versión of the screen, form a dvd-player
http://www.appinformatica.com/imf/reprod.-domesticos-i-joy-reproductor-i-vision-pocket-1g.jpg about 20-30€

Is the same screen as the Sony, but it also doesn't support NTSC signal.
