I'd like to do an article about the various video connections one can do with the Genesis. I can take my own pictures like:
http://pixelcraze.film-tech.net/crap/MR.jpg
The problem is I'd really like to find a better way to take the picture as a digital camera "sees" the screen much differently than the human eye. I wish I knew how they did it back in the old days of EGM. Also I'd like to talk to someone (Melf?) who has modded their Genesis for S-video, just so I can report on that option in the article. I didn't mod mine, but I can still get S-video out of it. And component. And composite. Even RF!! But I'd like to have several comparison pictures bewteen all of the formats, even RF.
Well? Good idea?

I think it's a fine idea.
I've always wondered how magical the picture quality could be were my Genesis not trapped within the sickly mire of RF.
As for amazing ways to perfectly capture screenshots off of a television, hmm.. let me think about that.
This is an excellent idea, as the different types of connections are one of the biggest issues that people have. A definitive article detailing all of them would be awesome.
And Joe, I haven't forgotten about your Side by Side article. It will go up as soon as the site relaunches later this month (along with Nick's and Aaron's reviews).

Please do! I heard the term "S-Video" before but didn't - and don't - know what it means. I'd really like to know more about this "phenomenon".

My article will be super in-depth with pictures! That also means that it will take me a while because I am a lazy-ass! :)

There's gonna be lots of pictures. Lots. Is this OK? Are there any restrictions on physical size (say no more than 600 pixels horizontal, etc)? The article itself is kind of long as well. Not quite finished, but close.

I'm not sure if Ken has any reservations regarding image size, but I know that the new layout won't work with anything over about 750px wide.

OK cool. I wasn't planning to go over about 600 pixels wide, and most will be considerably smaller.
PS - This isn't going to be one of those sites where everything is super-skinny (like www.kikizo.com) is it? I hate skinny sites!
Yeah. I'd say anything over 500px wide will be resized. It's no biggie though, since they're optimized to not lose their resolution.

There are only 3 or so "big" images right now, and I'll make sure that their width does not exceed 500px.
