Do you think Sega wanted to make more Alex Kidd games than this one? Pretty good games, and I'm just wondering why this title fetches high prices sometimes.
It does? I've always seen it really cheap. It'd be nice if it went up, since I have a complete copy. :p
I want a 2D remake of Miracle World. Hell, give me a collection with all of 'em, even Shinobi World!

I thought it was rated pretty high in Digitalpresses Rarity guide? I really like the game, I saw it cheap a few times.
I'll be going back to the store, so maybe I'll buy it and get the last 32X games I want while I am there? This week I am swamped with a little bit of school work, and regular work, so nope. Next week, it's game shopping ahoy. I got a lot of $$$ burning in the wallet just begging to be spent.

The first Alex Kidd game was pretty cool except for the inverted action and jump buttons (pissed me off). Alex Kidd and the Lost Stars is actually my favorite for some reason. Hated High Tech World. Enchanted Castle was fun back in the day, but I can't seem to get into it any more.

A lot of people hated High Tech world, and yup, those inverted buttons cheesed me and many others off too.
As for Lost Stars, I liked the arcade version better. I'm just wondering if Sega was going to make another game in the Alex Kidd series.

Yeah the arcade version is better. I was just blown away that the entire phrase "I'm the miracle ball!" made it into the Sega Master System version. That's 4 words! My Master System spoke an entire sentence!
Don't forget the amazingly annoying "AAAAHHHHH!!!" every time you died!

In what game do you hear the "AAAAHHHHH!!!"?? In Miracle World I hear the amazingly annoying "BÖH-BÖH-BÖH-BÖH-BÖÖÖH!!!!" :P.

You know what would have been great? If there was a Alex Kidd game like Sonic Adventure. I can dream, no?

In the Lost Stars....every time you died (which was quite often when you were only 13 years old).
Funny thing is, Alex Kidd might actually turn out pretty darn good in 3D, if they did it Ape Escape-style or something. I could really see it working.

hehe i remember alex kidd in miracle world,, i had it built into my machine, sometimes it was annoying because when i was younger and you had to press the pause button (which was on the machine) sometimes i hit it too hard and it crashed lol, did anyone else get this problem?
Oh yeah. That pause button caused more pain than any system i've ever owned. If your timing was off, you'd bump the cartridge and it was enough to crash the game. I did it during the final boss in Power Strike and have never been able to get over it. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!

Happened me when I was playing Sonic. Frustrating is the key word.

How many Alex Kidd Mega Drive games were there? Or are we talking about Master System games too?

Just one 16-bit Alex Kidd game.
