lol, nobody gave a crap about Lobo, downloaded it myself but have yet to try it out.
How's that ToeJam & Earl 2 Proto thing doing?

Some mags actually reviewed Lobo for Genesis. The consensus was that it was a mediocre, ugly game, hence the low scores.

downloaded the Rom, thanks! Still need to give it a spin, though. I'll let you know once I've tried it out.

Yep, it's as awful as X-perts. Kudos for your effort though. :)

Took a crack at the game, I find it funny that I can beat a majority of the game just by spamming Down+light punch.
Not bad though, worthy of going on my xbox, Thanx Sega Saturno and co.

As soon as the Ocean logo came up I knew I would be in for an awful game. What a piece of shit! Still, appreciate the effort to whoever ripped the proto.
It would be nice if there was a prototype out there that was actually worth playing, but I assume that most fall into the LOBO category, where the only reason they weren't released in the first place was that they were so fucking bad.

There are, and there's about three that fall into the worthy category and are actually coming from Ocean, believe it or not. Those games were still released on other systems, though (unlike this one).

TJ&E2's coming, drx just needs to get back from vacation and pay DreamTR if he hasn't already and wait for the cart to get to him. It shouldn't be much longer :D

I can't wait to see that.

Finally got round to playing this. Damn, I can see why it wasn't released, it plays bad and looks worse. It's a perfect example of how the lack of colours on the MD/Genesis made rendered graphics a damn pain to do on it. In this case however it seems that the developers ignored how awful the limitations would make the game look and, instead of retooling the graphics to something that would suit the system, just ploughed on regardless and took an SNES game and removed most of the colours.

Does any sort of manual exist? I can't figure out at what point you win a round and at what point you loose.
Each character hast two energy bars, and when the upper one is drained, it recharges and the character gets back to his or her feet again. Why? Where's the point? What does it mean?
This is the first time i've been confused by playing a street fighter clone.

@ Phantar : Its supposed to be a bad attempt at killer instinct. Thats why when both bars run out the opponent dies.
@ FFantasy6 : those are awesome carts you have there. Are those flash carts you used or did you erase an actual cart?

You'd have to be pretty rich to buy multiple flash carts just for one game,
and you can not erase actual carts, most likely he just burned new eproms and soldered them into an old cart.

I've been wanting to burn my own eproms for ages, what kinda tools did you use?
as in eprom burner / eproms / where did ya get them?
and can you burn just any size eprom and solder them into a cart or do you really need a cart that houses the same sized rom that you want to replace?
as in i want to burn a Sonic 1 hack to an eprom, would i need a cart that has a game on it thats also 4mbit?

Eproms in a store, for 2€ extra they burn it.
Is better that the game you want to burn is the same size as the donor cart, if is not, then you have to rewire and put extra wires. Everything changes if you change size of rom, size of cart, if it has save, etc...
I just swap the ROM with an EPROM and burn thecart using my MPCP :)

First time I've heard of eeprom burning. Sounds pretty awesome. I'll have to look into it and give it a try sometime.
