I'm curious to know if any Sega-16 member has ever had a really weird experience while repairing their Genesis. I sure have, and it just boggles my mind even to this day. While I was repairing my VA4 Genesis 2, the solder on the cartridge slot started to gunk up due to excess flux, so I had to resolder the slot NUMEROUS times before finally soldering some jumper wires, but during the process, I had the weirdest thing happen in all my days repairing/modding consoles. I was testing with Thunder Force II MD, and, I don't know how this happened, but when the "Auto Demo" screen faded to the game's demo sequence, I was able to control the Exceliza! WTF??? And I kept playing until the stage ended or I lost all my reserve ships. Talk about weird... I still think about that from time to time.

So what's your oddball Genesis repair story?

There was this one time I accidentally cut some jumpers, and then decided to solder some wires and a switch between them....

I could select the region of my system!

Whenever I get a new system to mod/repair/etc. I always find at least one pubic hair, and sometimes cat hair... :yuck:

do you ever find cat pubic hair?

cannot comment on that, not an expert on cat hairs...

Look, I'm telling you now.

I was at least 2 meters away from the Mega Drive all those times I slept in the same room as it.
