View Full Version : Vay
After gifting gamers with the RPG bliss that was Lunar the Silver Star, Working Designs got to work localizing their second release, Vay. Considered to be the hardest of the WD Sega CD quartet, it was actually a sweet little game, and it featured some interesting story elements to boot. I like what little I have payed of Vay. However...
I still wished Working Designs released After Armagadon Gaiden. It looked like a kick ass game.

I remember not being able to figure out what the last letter was in this game's logo as a kid, and always finding the game intriguing but never able to ask about it as I wasn't really sure what it was called.
Then, as now, I was a winner at life. :D

This game was great, and it was perhaps the only game I've ever played where having to gain levels didn't bother me so much. I ususally don't like to take the time to level up but in Vay I could just go, step, fight, step, fight, and before I knew it I was well-equipped and leveled up.

This game took sometime for me to get into.
I would turn it on and get pissed at the insane amount of leveling up you had to do right from the get go.
After doing this probably 10 times and finally going into the cave and meeting the old man I got hooked and played strait through. I just curled up on my couch and stayed there until I beat the game.
Man was that uncomfortable! I'm 6 foot and that couch was a mere 4 feet across and I was laying on it. I couldn't stand up after beating the game. (And do NOT get me on the final dungeon with that annoying door maze... tell me something? Is there anyway to actually FIND a logical explanation to the way you do it? Or is it just trial and freaking error!?)

I'm sure it was worth your time though. As for the last dungeon, Sadoul just wanted to be sure that nobody would interupt him.
