View Full Version : GBA flashcarts
Where can I get one for a good price and which is the best? Are the ones the NeoMyth manufacturers are selling any good? Someone said they're not. I prefer a USB one, and ability to write GB and GBC games on it as well.

"EZ-Flash 4 16G" 2gb built in, usb.
Assuming you're using a GBA exclusively of course.
If you were ever going to go with a DSlite the EZFlash V3in1 is best for a slot 2 device IMO. With slot 1 reserved for a CycloDS Evolution.
I want to play the original GB/GBC games as well, so maybe I'll get the first one. You can't play them on DS, right?

Ive been thinking about getting a gba flash cart, that EX-Flash 4 sounds cool, looks like it uses a SD Card slot in the cart which is cool.
So this would work on a gba sp and gb player? also you would be able to put NES games on it?
What would be the best site to buy this?

You could play GB/GBC games on your DS, but it would be through emulation. I had an M3 perfect for a while (before the SDcard slot broke and I couldn't get a refund on it) and I could play GB/GBC games on that just fine, through emulation of course.

I have an EZ-Flash IV myself and its pretty cool, you can even flash a different skin to it if you want.
(I did since the standard Darth Vader skin was pretty lame)
I heard compatibility isn't perfect though, but the whole mini-sd card thing is pretty sweet.
I've been thinking of buying a dedicated GBA flashcart for Mother 3 though,
since the EZ-Flash IV needs to split the rom in tiny pieces and i would prefer an extra flashcard that would just boot it straight away.

What do you mean it splits the rom into tiny pieces?
I just got done makin some gba roms full of nes and game gear games (well seperate roms for the systems lol)

No its just that with bigger games like Mother 3 the EZ-Flash IV will split the rom and put it in different memory banks or something?
only with that rom, all the other roms are neatly organized on my mini sd card.

Well I ordered EZ Flash IV cause it used an sd card, so the amount of games is probably endless (I have a 2gb one)
Now for the genesis to get a flash cart with cd card support (hopefully the firecore one does it that comes out for the us)

So....the PocketNES gba rom WILL run better when its on the flash card in an actual gba then it does on visualboyadvance? (Yea i read the faq) Also im doin DrSMS to put a bunch of master system and game gear games. Also I think Goomba for GB to GBA. So this will be one fun cart!

Goomba (and Goomba Color) don't support the built in palettes that the GBA has for Metroid 2, classic Tetris, and Link's Awakening non DX.
It has crappy replacement palettes.
Hopefully one day Goomba will actually support those palettes.

Most are around 16 megabytes, some can be 32.

Ok so I have a question.
I play a rom made from pocket nes, obviously with nes games on it.
On visualboyadvance some games play a bit slow or have a few graphical problems.
Will these NOT be there when I play this on the actual gba?
